I've been dying waiting for results, so any results are much appreciated! Does anyone know of any sites that are posting results?? Official Golden Gloves site has updated it's results page with spots for each day of the tournament, so hopefully it gets updated each day??

Mike Reed won at 141lbs. won vs. Duran Caffero
Tommy Hill at 141lbs. won.
Luis Feliciano lost at 123lbs. (not sure vs who)
Tramaine Williams had a bye at 123lbs.
Luis Arias at 165lbs. won
Antonio Russell 123lbs. won
Antoine Douglas 165lbs. won
Zakki Scott lost at 201lbs.

It's really sad that no one is covering or blogging live from out there. I don't think our online amateur reporters have been treated very well at recent national tournaments and people wonder why there is no support. It's like a big secret. SMH.

Damn DC, Junior lost to Reed huh? That's a shame, his first time at 141 and was hoping he would go deep, he needs all that before going to Nationals and making a run on the USAs. Damn.

Doubt it. FrontPage Boxing isn't out there. I don't see MLive covering. USAB may post the day after but as far as quick results, it doesn't look like it's going to happen.

Luis Feliciano lost to Tyshawn Jones, 123, from New Jersey. Last time anybody really heard anything out of Jones was at 95 pounds years ago in the juniors, although I think he did make an appearance at 106 in the National Golden Gloves a few years ago.

Does anyone know anything about Ernie Garza's fight or Pinkie's? I heard Ernie lost, was it a close fight?

Saginaw’s Ernie Garza, a 2008 national champion, lost to Kiun Evans from Mid-South Franchise at 123 pounds and Grand Rapids’ Germaine McKinney, who trains out of MLK Gym, lost to Leandre White of Detroit at 165 pounds. "Ernie had a pretty good draw, but we never heard of the kid he fought and he was good," said Dennis Shimmell, one of Team Michigan’s corner men. "Germaine had a tough draw, Leandre is a good fighter. He fought a good fight, but he lost. So it wasn’t the best start for us, but we won by decision and got two through by byes."

Tyshawn won the JO nartionals a few years ago and was named outstanding boxer. I know that it was an upset, but the kid can box. That side of the 123 bracket is deep with good kids.

141 - mike reed
123 - antoinio Russell or tramaine Williams
114 - Louie byrd

If I actually had access to brackets I could be more specific but I think you need top secret clearance to get eyes on this.

123lbs. Antonio Russell won
132lbs Kevin Rivers won
