Yuriolkis Gamboa is at 57kg now then? I assume he decided to bypass 54kg because of Rigondeaux.

Seems the Cubans can't find a replacement for Gamboa at 51. Or at least till national champ Rosniel Iglesias turns 17 :TU:

64 kg Miguel Riveiro (BRA-A) is better known as Myke Carvalho, a 2004 Olympian.

Also 57 kg Juan Carlos Velazco (PUR) is Carlos Velazquez, another 2004 Olympian and twin brother of Juan Carlos Velazquez at 54 kg.

Where is this tournament being held and what dates? Thanks!

By the way, "Macyou Arroyo (PUR)'s name is "Macjoe." He and his brother, MacWilliam, are twins. Great young men, too. :TU:

In Valencia, Venezuela, from the 20th to I believe the 25th. I believe the name of the tournament is "Batalla de Carabobo" and english translation would I be "Battle of the Carabobo", I think.

Oh dear, "Havana, we have a problem......" :D
Getting rid of this Lopez guy seems to be a major problem for the Cubans, he doesn't seem able to win the major tournaments, but he keeps qualifying for them. If Solis can't beat him and can't make 91kg either then they have lost a reliable medal winner.
