Not familiar with who's left at 108...at 114 how can you pick against 3 time National Champ Louie Byrd...I have heard good things about Juan Roman(New York Metro) though...

At 123, I thought it might be Gary A. Russell and Tramaine Williams in the Finals but they fought before-hand...do expect Tramaine to be there in the Finals...

132-DeLeon, Cruz, and Sims Jr are all good fighters...Cruz lost to Sims Jr. in the National PALS...wouldn't be suprised to see either of the 3 or Adam Castillo come out in the end...

At 141, I was suprised to see Amir Imam lose....think it'll be Cristino Ceballo and Michael Reed in the end...both have national experience...

165 I think Daquan Arnett is the favorite now, he has a lot of experience...

178 gotta go with Jerry Odom, made it to the Finals in the PALS last year...I think he won them in 09...

Sad to see so many of the team Michigan guys and Detroit guys fall out. I hope Erick pulls off his 3rd straight year as champion. Impressed that Tony Harrison has made it this far at 152, best of luck to him as well. Thanks for all the updates NYAmateur90 and also all the other members who have been posting.

At 114lbs., agreed King Louie is the frontrunner. Although I've heard he's had some close rounds, in the end his stamina pushes opponents to the brink. However, Young and Simpson won't let it be easy. Midget (Tramaine Williams) will win 123lbs. I hope someone records Simms vs. Deleon too. The youngster Simms is putting his stamp on the open division early. At 141lbs. Mike Reed wins. Brian Ceballo is a good boxer, but I think Reeds speed and the big edge in national and international experience will be the difference. At 165lbs. Daquan has a lot of experience but Jesse Hart is not an easy fight by any stretch. I haven't seen him live since he boxed vs. China in NYC, but he looked good. That will be a great fight. It will be Arnett's speed and slickness against Jess boxing from the outside and setting up his right hand. At 178 I agree after two RSC's Odom will be the man to beat. His power is overwhelming sometimes. I can't wait to see how it all unfolds over the next two days.

108 - Carlton, I acutally thought last year he had a shot at placing.
114 - Young, actually pretty sure it's going to be Byrd but come on, really, 4 in a row?
123 - Williams, this division is going to be an 18 or 17 year old that goes to the olympics I believe.
132 - Sims Jr., well ... DeLeon would be a pretty safe pick here but I think Sims Jr. can stay to the outside and outpoint him.
141 - Reed, he looks the best so far and not only for this tourney but overall at 141.
152 - Martin, it's hard picking against Villa because he has done so well so early, but if anybody beats him out it's Martin.
165 - Arnett, very underatted and it's finally showing.
178 - Odom, first heard about/saw Plant at the USA's last year and he surprised me, he's really good, but I'm sticking with the safe bet.
201 - Hunter, too fast, looking great at 201.
201+- Thompson, I've never said anything close to a "lock" in boxing, but this is the closest I've ever came by saying he'll make the Olympic Team, but I'm not saying it's for sure!

Was suprised to see Galeano (New York Metro) lose...he was #5 as a junior in the country at one point...

He said two judges had him winning, 2 others had him losing, the third judge had it a draw and gave it to Villa based on aggression...doesn't get much closer than that...
