He obviously won't win anything on work rate so he'll have to load up!

Witter is still pretty good but he doesn't box anywhere near enough to be properly match fit. It is a shame; at one time he was bowling people over. Still; he is a very good name to have on Prizefighter. I'll be watching, the last one was fantastic :TU:

I am not sure I have ever been as bored watching boxing as his fight with Arturo Morua. I'm sure whole rounds went by when he didn't connect at all.

Agreed, he's the one that makes the June PrizeFighter worth watching although i presume it's at Welterweight and he's a career Light Middle so if he can get down to Welter and still be as strong he'll be a beast.

Yassine is a natural Welterweight. He boxes at Light Middle as it has been easier to get him fights there. We were planning to move down to Welterweight anyway. We think this is ideal for him and his puches will be so much more effective at the lower weight. He will have no trouble making the weight. He is totally up for this and after speaking with him on Friday he is determined to shine and get recognition at last.

will this be at york hall, this is easy the best place for prizefighter. When the york hall is sold out you can not beat it.

I have also been told its a Tuesday night. Yassine has sent his application for a passport in. Its up to the authorities now. winning Prizefighter would definately help.

considering you dont have a tv deal steve your fighters are pretty well managed and all have decent records. Think you should sign either Tony Doherty or Adnan Amar too.

I think he'll go the same way as Esham Pickering - someone of a similar style who was past his best and got outworked by an underdog due to not having enough rounds.

Witter will bang a few guys hard. id like to see Jennings, Lenny Daws, Tony Doherty and Adnan amar added to this. And Nathan Mcintosh as a back up.

Not being a dick Steve, but how would winning prizefighter help his application?

When deciding if he can have a passport, the Government have to decide if he is capabale of achieving a world title shot and giving something to the UK. He did beat then European number 4 Colas in December. If he won Prizefighter and for example bet Junior Witter en route it is more ammunition to assist his application. Without a passport most boxers do not want to box him as he offers nothing but trouble and a potential loss to them for little reward. We have even had a problem getting him a shot for the Southern Area titkle although he is now mandatory for the winner of Toms-Woolford but if past experiences are anything to go by the winner just vacates rather than boxes Yassine.

Anyway I digress its the perception of the Government department that matters and a Sky TV tournament victory would be a major assist. Being 32 this year he hasnt got a lot of time left.

This prizefighter lineup looks like a cracker already. El Maachi is brilliant to watch, Colin Lynes is looking handy too after moving up to welter and hooking up with Jimmy Tibbs. Witter didn't look great in his last fight though. Not fighting for 18 months and then taking a ten rounder in Canada seemed a bit weird. Is he still with Hennessey?

Personally, I think it's a bad move for Witter. (Just as it was a bad move for Robin Reid when he entered). :TU:

More boxing the better, although I do wish Sky wouldn't stop prioritising the Prizefighter over the 12 rounders. First adverts I have seen for boxing on "normal" sky for years is for this Saturday's prizefighter "oh and Pac vs Mosley".
