Yes it does but he had the better of it when he was with Mr warren. That meant that others were on the shitty end of the stick. You can't really moan when you've had it good through rules being overlooked and then lost out when they are enforced. It is either crap or it is not; play fair or don't moan when everything doesn't go your way.
Fair do,s but not to told ya been stripped (where has that happend before) ??? Boxing must get some bollox :shame:

Whenever I'm going through difficult times, my life seems worthless and my self esteem is at rock bottom I just ask myself 'what would Frank do?' Since using this tequnique I'v sued everyone I have ever met.

These types of belts are a lot more important than many people think. They are one of the main reasons why so many fighters you haven't heard of are ranked in the top 10/15 by the sanctioning bodies.

Have to conced I agree here. If you are someone who isn't gonna get a World title based off the back of your name these belts can be invaluable. Nicolai Valuev got his shot based off of gaining the WBA interwhatever belt and just defending it over and over. He may have only been around 12th -15th when he got the belt but defending it a few times against guys in the WBA ratings (a stipulation of holding the belt) he tip toed up the ratings and suddenly he is in an eliminator.

Only problem with them is you restrict yourself to one sanctioning bodies rankings, I'm not 100% this is the case but I dont think the rival bodies will have holders of these belts in their rankings. But for sure while the opposition you have to face may not always be stellar you will find yourself moving up the rankings if you do defend these belts 2 or 3 times.

It's a sneaky and cheating move they have pulled on Kell Brook.

But, I wouldtell him that this is an opportunity to rebuild his career and reset his targets.

If I were Brook's management.

I would line up 3 fights in the nxt 12 months:

1. Fight Purdy to regain the British title.
2. fight Vassell to win the Commonwealth Title
2. Beat Daniele Petrucci to win the European title.

Then after 2-3 Euro defences, Brook will be well on his way. :TU:

Well mate he's already been stripped of his WBO inter-continental title and lost his WBO #1 ranking so i think in all honesty Kell and his team are looking at other routes. I should add that none of this comes as any surprise ....

Brook should definitely be looking at the European title. Maybe I wasn't giving him enough credit earlier when I suggested re-fighting for the British title, he is probably above that.

However, though he has got an impressive record, I'm not sure if he's got the muscle to force himself into European title contention, hence why I suggested going for the Commonwealth title, I'm pretty sure he would get a shot at that. :TU:

You'd have thought the governing body would mandate a challenger for the holder to defend against surely.

That's what all the other bodies do.

Or do the WBO expect the holder to go to market, find some cannon fodder and arrange their own defence?

I thought you got stripped, if you failed to answer the challenger's bid.

Kell was on ringside 3 week ago with eddy hearn' saying he was defending the walterweight WBO intercontinental title in mid june' 3rd defence. the week after he was stripped' the WBO governing body 'should sureley put kell in a challenge next to regain his rightfull title.

IF not" this should show what the WBO is realey about' lets wait and see.

Yeah mate, I was just thinking the samething. I seen the interview too.

But I wouldn't try to rationalise it, these people clearly don't see any sence at all. :shame:

Whenever things like these happen, it does make me wonder why I watch boxing...
