Re: Anyone else really looking forward to Degale vs Groves?
I'm so disappointed with the pricing for this fight. I genuinely can't remember a fight i've looked forward to as much as this, but i just can't justify paying £110 for back of the lower tier or £150 for floor seats. Total rip off in a dreadful venue.

Why not buy tickets from the fighters direct? No booking fee and the fighters normally get 10% of the sales (I think)

Don't worry boys , johnny Greaves is on the bill. That should make it worth your money. Lol! Hope groves wins. Degale is a tool

Say it like it is Johnny! Do you know who you've got? (How is George Hillyard getting on?)

I am looking forward to the fight and really hope it lives up to the potential. Personally think Degale to win by stoppage, but think Groves will test Degale so we will see what he is made of.
Re: Anyone else really looking forward to Degale vs Groves?
I resent buying through them. Booking fees? I've never understood how they can justify them. So you pay your money for your tickets, which is the actual service that you want, but then you have to pay extra on top for the privilege of using Ticketmaster? Should be banned.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Was it Ticketmaster? Sorry, rant over.

There is a big row brewing over TBA's refusal to submit to random drug testing
Re: Anyone else really looking forward to Degale vs Groves?
Even LESS justifiable then! Utterly disgraceful from them.dazzer wrote:Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:Was it Ticketmaster? TBC won't fight unless TBA agrees to bloods.bfchunk wrote:funso banjo baby wrote:no point getting excited about this bill yet

Re: Anyone else really looking forward to Degale vs Groves?
I am. While I think DeGale should take this fairly comfortably, I'd be surprised if Groves doesn't at least make it interesting, land a couple of good shots and force DeGale to fight a bit. He's got the speed and accuracy to do that even if his defence is a tad leaky, and I don't think DeGale will be able to resist the urge to scrap a bit given the history between the pair - he's not exactly Kostya Tszyu in the brains department..

By the way pal. I haven't heard or seen George on the scene so really don't know how or where he is!
Re: Anyone else really looking forward to Degale vs Groves?
Francis Robinson ;;-) (there was already a Luke Robinson boxing so he has to use Francis) pop over and say hello buddy on the 21stjohnnygreaves wrote:hello si! I've got Luke Robinson. I can't wait for this one. You couldn't ask for a trickier sparring partner than Dirrell and Cleverly's not a bad shout on Degale's part either.
These two should be primed to the hilt. I really hope this turns out to be a belter and not the one-sided affair (in Degale's favour) that some seem to think lies in store.
This is an absolute gem that I doubt anyone thought would come off and win or lose, full credit to the pair of them.

Re: Anyone else really looking forward to Degale vs Groves?
Groves is being passed off as nothing more than a decent test.
He is a class act, he's unbeaten, he punches harder than DeGale (for my money) and there is animosity - he will be primed and really pumped up.
I can see him going to the well and digging deep to win this, I really hope he does. Maybe even by mid to late TKO if he gets in close.
Of course DeGale won't make it easy, he is a fantastic fighter and the favourite, but I have a feeling George will pull out a performance and deck him.
If I'm wrong I'll be the first to come on here and hold my hands up. Just think Groves has more up his sleeve than people give him credit for.

I am. Am even debating taking my Dad to it for his Birthday. Broke as a joke at the mo so it'll have to be the fifty quid tickets if I do.
What's the upper tier view like for boxing at the o2?

Would like to go to this but I'm going to be laying out a lot of cash for Haye tickets (hopefully) next week so probably will give this one a miss.

It's funny how we are all looking forward to this fight but really it's viewed as a mismatch across the board.Captain Hook wrote:Groves is being passed off as nothing more than a decent test.

The survey of Britains trainers in Boxing Monthly came up 29/2 for DeGale.

ig groves sticks to a gameplan he can pull if off but if for a second he wswitches off degale will beat him.
