Surely with all Mitchell's police problems in the background that must have a serious effect on his preparations?

IF this fight goes ahead gotta make Murray a red-hot favourite ....

yeah, i mean, he managed to fvck up his prep for katsidis without any legal issues.

maybe he was just busy tending his fvcking crop.

meh. i mean, a great big ball of meh, i will believe this happens when i see them both in the ring.

Johannesson probably had better one punch power than Murray. Regardless,i agree Murray will beat Mitchell comfortably. I expect a big effort from Kev early on and then a mid rond stoppage for Murray. Mitchell is lucky FW has looked after him so well.

if mitchells head is right and his preperation goes very well he will be to smart for murray !
they are 2 big ifs but im choosing mitchell on points in a very interesting fight, but like someone said earlier, i wont believe this fight untill there in the ring...

Mitchell, TKO, later rounds :TU:

I like Murray, but as long as the weight/bodily advantage that Murray has doesn't affect Mitchell too much, I can see Mitchell's skills outdoing Murray's workrate.

Should be a belter!

Great fight! Both men's strengths are the other weaknesses, Murray struggles with movement and Mitchell struggles with strong, come forward aggressors. I think it's a matter of who can set the pace and dictate the distance. I see Mitchell starting fast with his combinations and movement working behind the jab not letting Murray get set and getting through his somewhat poor defence, but after around 5 Mitchell rounds I can see Murray's pressure begin to pay off with crunching body shots and bringing in the combinations, pushing Mitchell back against the ropes. I see Murray stopping Mitchell around the 10th in an absolute cracker!!

Alex, I think you're overlooking the mental side of this.

Re-read every Kevin Mitchell interview from the last six months and find me one crumb of self-belief or dedication to boxing longer term. I couldn't find any.

Kevin's a nice lad, met him briefly and life is complicated sometimes, but he doesn't sound like a guy with the focus required to beat Murray.

Agreed David Payne, already been scheduled and cancelled so no guarantee it will happen.

If it does, I'm going for Mitchell, maybe even by stoppage. I didn't like what I saw last time out from Murray. Somethings changed. A risky basis to come up with a predicition, but I'll stick to it.

Nor me. I think he looked weak at the weight, and was hyped to buggery beforehand. This fight is 50/50 for me.

Great fight this, Mitchell got found out massively against Katsidis and I fear it could happen again here. I am a Murray fan myself so will stick my neck out and say a Murray stoppage by round 8. Looking forward to it though.
