Should be a good match up! I haven't seen Murray but I've heard good things. He'll deserve the title if he can beat Rees

if murray fights like he did against higginson then rees should win comfortably

Really good fight this, has potetnial to be very entertaining. My money will be on Rees though, although Murray has kept surprising me so far so wouldn't be surprised to see him win by a stoppage late on.

Fancy Rees to grind him down, would like to see Rees down at Super-Feather

I wouldn't say that won it easily but he definitely won. It wasnt a great performance at all to beYOGI BEAR wrote:Didn,t see fite against higginson. was it close or did he win easy???diggler wrote:if murray fights like he did against higginson then rees should win comfortably

Rees via decision. He'll use all his experience to hammer out a win.

Don't underestimate Murray, he is better than the 5/2 shot the bookies are making him.

I will take Rees, he has fought at the higher level former British and World title holder, tough as hell I will go for Rees on points or late stoppage for me.

Will be a tough, tough fight. Andy's the fresher man, Gavin the more experienced.
Andy is bigger and has more skill, Gavin the better in-fighter.
Andy has a great chin, Gavin... not as great.
Andy's entering the Lion's Den, Gavin will be roared on by his home crowd.
Both men are there to win and Murray has prepared like a demon in the west in a camp with John Brenn, Sean Mannion and some good sparring partners.
I like Murray at 7/4 here, but it's points all the way. There'll be no stoppage in this fight, repeat, no stoppage.

Willie Limond mentioned as 1st defence opponent for the winner. It would be interesting to see Limond/Rees; would be very competitive.

How do you know Murray has the better chin? I guess your basing it on Rees being stopped by world class Kotelnik despite it being more exhaustion than anything else. He took more than enough flush shots in that fight to prove his chin is fine.ApolloCreed wrote:Will be a tough, tough fight. Andy's the fresher man, Gavin the more experienced.
