Everyone is ultimately dissapointed that the show has had bad luck with dropouts (VISA problems, child support issues, death of a close friend, fitness concerns) and the lack of 'names' in the contest.
However, if the fights are good then the show will be a success. The Prizefighter shows always get decent TV ratings, and if it's one people talk about then a lot more people will see the repeats and it will have a good chance of being sold abroad.
Also, if Tye Fields goes on to win it and the contest is half decent, then it'll be fairly easy to sell it to FoxSports in the US.
Would Sky take half of the names if they were offered as saturday night opponents for Chisora or Fury?
Have to stress as a rule I have been a big fan of Prizefighter, been some great nights at York Hall
All 3 of pullouts were unfortunate. Still a better show than some we been served up this year like Hall v Donnelly, Gavin v Lomax , Burns v Laryea to name a few.

Fair point I suppose, as I said I do usually enjoy Prizefighter
and you think that this is worse than the last HW PF?
last Hw Prizefighter was let down by cancellations...and we were promised a big name wild card which turned out to be Declan Timlin . Very poor stuff.
Both these Prizefighters have been missold....the fans are being hoodwinked.....and the sort that still turn up to these events tend to make a very sour atmosphere.
Whens the weigh in it would be interesting to see the shape of some of these big guys and how much they have put into it, Perez is supposed to be in great shape but not really sure about the rest.

Hoodwinked? No sir, I cant agree with that. Could the final line-up be better? Yes of course if could and the pull outs are unfortunate but I still I think it is probably the best ever line up of any PF, maybe barring the SFW.
they should of left it to the british fighters to try earn a decent wedge at this tournament coz why lose are boys a chance at the money for sum of these names??

Why?
They have exhausted the domestic line ups and the only way forward with this format is 'international' with one or two domestic fighters in there. I think this will be an excellent 'prizefighter' probably the most entertaining one of the lot - whoever thinks the disappearance of Kingpin is going to make the show less interesting needs their head read!
why?? because it was to give local fighters a chance to have there 5 mins that they wud not get,and u cud easy find 8 british heavys. it will b no better than the english prizefighters!!

We went down the route of 'journeymen prizefighter' and the powers that be weren't interested, they are after young prospects or national title level pro's. As far as that level is concerned - the well has dried up domestically.
i liked it wen it was a tournament wen ev 1 had a fair chance for once no matter wot ur record now these "propects" or "stars" see it as easy money.but lets be honest wiv the fighters that hav fell away it aint a gr8 line up if its meant to b for stars and up and comers?? some gud names not all bad but some arnt gr8 standard
Yeah, pretty grim aint it? I was going to watch this in the pub, as I've not got Sky at the moment. I might not bother with this now, and get the Pac fight I'm watching on delay as my boxing fix this weekend.
