Thanks mate, I think it is a very evenly matched fight which makes a change nowadays in anything other than mandatory title fights. Then you have the added bonus of the "grudge" factor which is a first for me in 27 pro fights, I'm too nice for this game :-)

Does it 'feel' different to a regular bout? I mean with the 'needle'; does it matter more that you know Lee, rather than a boxer from another town?

I used to train at Johnny's gym in Armthorpe when I was a young man. He is sound and his son, Jason could do with some support, he's having a bad time and he is a good lad who entertained.

I'd taken a mate of mine over who was the opponent for a Doncaster fighter, I walked my mate to the ring and was stood near the 'Dinner' tables during the fight. I was urging my mate with cries of encouragment when I felt myself struck on the shoulder, one of the 'diners' annoyed by my support for the 'away' fighter had hurled a New Potato at me, it was covered in gravy and mint sauce and soiled my jacket

Frankly I was appalled at such unsporting behaviour!

I'm not stirring but it may have been one of Teddys Toupee entourage and hangers on, one of them had mint sauce on his fingers earlier
