Hasn't he fought Mathew Ellis yet? Everyone has a crack at him.

More importantly is he any good?

I have been thinking the same. Heard a lot about him but never seen him fight yet.

Heard he was a bad boy a few years ago, but seems to have turned it all round now and making a name for himself. Would like to see him fight though.

Tom Dallas is taking the traditional dip into journeyman opp with Zach Page next...but this whole steady build up of 0 records is always frustrating.

thats why i still rate Sexton and Rogan over these guys...they went in deep at such an early stage...people tend to overlook this.

Top kid in and outside the ring, am sure he will be British champ at least. Towers to be a role model to a lot of kids

I agree with this but the thing is with guys who are raw they need lots of activity lots of practice lots of experience. He needs to be fighting every few months at the very least. Inactivity and clever matchmaking are no good for him.

Watched Richard 4 Times. For Me Ticks All The Boxes. Inside The Ring 6ft 8ins Body Like The Hulk. Very Good On Feet (Quick And Nimble} Very Powerful With Either Hand, Patient And Listens To Instruction Well To Dominic Ingle. Very Marketable. Especially With Story Before He Turned Pro. Outside The Ring Comes Across Very Well When Interviewed. Question To Be Asked. Does Richard Have An Iron Chin???? We Don,t Yet Know. Think Is Being Brought Along Just Nicely. Remember 10 Fights You Learn The Next 10 Earn And Step Up. Personally Got A Feeling Richard Towers Could Go Very Far. Time Will Tell. Adios

I think Richie has been fairly active to be fair - there was a long lay-off recently but that was due to a problem totally outside his control (not an injury or illness, and no it was nothing to do with the law). But all that is sorted and he is good to go.

He is always in the gym and incredibly dedicated - as dedicated to his trade as anyone i have ever met in any walk of life. I also agree with the poster above who commented that he listens to what he is told by Dom - he is a sponge for information and very humble.

I know that the Hattons rate him VERY highly and he will be on more or less all their shows from now on barring injury. It is also hoped he'll be on Kell's undercard on the 25th June - Kell thinks the world of him and wants to help him get as much exposure as possible.

As for taking a punch, i have personally seen Fury catch him flush in sparring and he held that shot pretty well. I know he's sparred Chisora too and i dont think there's been any suggestion of him ever being down or hurt. So i'm confident that he hasn't got any issues in relation to punch resistance - that said, when a good heavyweight catches you clean, whoever you are, you are in trouble.

I agree there are some cracking match ups domestically in this division and Richie could be the outside bet. He is improving so fast. DOnt forget, though, that he had almost ZERO amateur boxing so there is no way he's gonna be rushed.

In his last fight he fought a guy who had only ever been stopped by Price (round 7), and that was premature IMO. He retired him in 4 according to the report I read. Every time I see him I'm impressed.
