Re: Prizefighter the Light middleweights: 2001
My imagination says.......
Over three rounds;
Farnell too oppresive for Sinclair who liked to have the range to do his work. Farnell would have to be super careful- but he'd eek out a very close maj decision in a belter.
Richard Williams would once again be too much of everything for the then superb Samuals. He'd probably react well to the aggresiveness of Samuals and hsi neat counters would find him a stoppage winner in two.
Alexander vs Roberts - a tough one to call but alexander would have made it suicidal for Roberts to engage in a care free manner. I'd imagine that Alexander would have looked to draw Roberts into a brawl and though Steve's chin was always superb I think Alexander gets off the deck to score a stoppage of his own in three.
Takaloo Vs Adrian Stone- Tak always had the fitness but Stones' veteran skills would allow him to boss most of this. Takaloo would be dangerous throughout but Adrian takes a UD in a draining fight.
..........................................................
Farnell Vs Williams
Farnell would start tenaciously but I don't think that he'd have the defensive nous to deal with Williams' sharp counters (sorry arnie). I don't think Farnell disgraces himself and would have his moments but - the neater more eyecatching worl would come from Williams who would take a UD.
Alexander Vs Stone
Again the gameplan for Alexander would be to try and get Stone to engage in a war. Only this time the willing stone would be a bit too canny for Alexander. He uses his more compact style to land the heavier shots, and his experience allows him to navigate any uncertain moments. Stone scores two knockdowns in the third and forces an impressive stoppage/
.......................
The Final: Williams Vs Stone
Williams starts the fight behind the jab. He would be trying to use his timing to out think Stone. You'd imagine that Stone would be the one pressing the action here. Over 8 rounds i'm undcertain of the winner but obver 3 I can't help but think that Williams is able to land the more impressive combo's and just keep stone in check,.
Williams takes an excitng UD..
