Out of all the misspelt words I think "ruwens" is my favourite :TU:

Seriously, if it is true then its a big blow for fans as this would have been a very interesting fight and I would have loved to have seen David Price (assuming he gets past big John) in with the winner.

It's a Hennessey vs BBBofC issue, isn't it? Nothing to do with either boxer.

i think the board could bring in a rule where if your a champion and you have been nominated to defend against someone then you cant fight anyone else until that fight has happened, it would stop everyone dodging each other and the best would fight the best

I'd much rather this fight was in Marbella than not at all.

Time for Fury to change promotional outfit.

Whether it's a case of Hennessey being treated harshly or not, it isn't something Fury should have to be dealing with.

Or us for that matter.

The page on which the comments were made is not Chisora's official facebook page. Just spoke to Dereck about it and he has not posted anything on his Facebook page. Must be one that someone else has set up

Agreed. It would've been a cracking atmosphere. Way back in '92 I was at the Quinta do Lago Hotel, in Portugal, when Eubank fought Ron Esset - Dariusz Michalczewski and Michael Ayers were also on the card - it was a great weekend, even though the fights weren't the best.
Same macho! A real oddity but fun nonetheless. Not every fight has to take place in a bloody leisure centre where the Sky broadcast team outnumber the crowd.

How many people do we think this fight would draw in Britain? I'm not sure it would do more than 3 or 4 thousand, in which case why not put it abroad and make an event of it.

Totally agree Glyn. If anything the venue would have raised the profile of the fight.

Hennessy shows some enterprise and the BBBofC appear obstructive IMO. I'm convinced they wouldn't have any problem if this was a Hearn or Warren proposal.

Does anyone know exactly what the Board's objection is yet? I would have expected one of their circulars on the subject but haven't had one.

I would have liked to have seen the fight on the Undercard of a American bill - although Hennessy would have felt the wrath of the BBBoC for loaning it then.

America are crying out for a heavyweight, of any nationality really. Tyson has the unique name and size, Chisora has the fact that Wlad refused him twice. It would have been a half decent undercard fight if promoted well.

To be honest, I'm not fussed whatever the venue is...

...just as long as these two bad boys get it on !

No further news on this subject from anywhere ??

My mistake if that is the case. All I know is that Chisora hasn't personally made any of the comments that have been posted on FB.
