It seems that their last bouts are listed in the wrong order :

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer
http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer

So you have the bout ID numbers of the final lower than those of the semi-finals.Da Voice wrote:Inserting tournament results in correct order is quite tricky, because Boxrec system disallows inserting boxers more than once on same date.
There is a way e.g. I inserted the following last night:-

Official results are yet to be received
Who cares about bout ID numbers? Viewing the card makes sense & boxers' record is in correct order e.g. Vaitele Soi http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxercomputerrank wrote:So you have the bout ID numbers of the final lower than those of the semi-finals.Da Voice wrote:Inserting tournament results in correct order is quite tricky, because Boxrec system disallows inserting boxers more than once on same date.

And you have the bout ID numbers of the semi-finals lower than those of the quarter-finals.
As a result the quarter-finals will be regarded to have happend later than the semi-finals.
And the final will be regarded to have happened later than the final.
That's not the problem - see ID numbers of Mike Perez's bouts which show up in the correct order, but the numbers do not correspond with that.computerrank wrote:So you have the bout ID numbers of the final lower than those of the semi-finals.Da Voice wrote:Inserting tournament results in correct order is quite tricky, because Boxrec system disallows inserting boxers more than once on same date.

The correct bout ID number of bouts on the same day is an issue for correct ratings.wouter wrote:That's not the problem - see ID numbers of Mike Perez's bouts which show up in the correct order, but the numbers do not correspond with that.computerrank wrote:So you have the bout ID numbers of the final lower than those of the semi-finals.Da Voice wrote:Inserting tournament results in correct order is quite tricky, because Boxrec system disallows inserting boxers more than once on same date.

Because most people want to see the most important fights at the top of the list.JCS wrote:Why not have a show_order column?
I wonder how they read their bank statements ??John wrote:It's more complex than that, bouts_ids are not a good method as some people sort ascending date and some descending :(
Don't the most important fights usually come last? Either way, order it descending on the display pages..John wrote:Because most people want to see the most important fights at the top of the list.JCS wrote:Why not have a show_order column?
