Re: White Collar show next sunday - 22nd may
I'm a little confused by the description of this as a white collar show - wouldn't it be more accurate to call it an unlicenced boxing event? Eg I've been to a few IBA shows, where several ex-pros were boxing. Admittedly, there were some novice-looking guys on show as well, but generally the standard was pretty high and the fellas were getting paid.
I've had a couple of white collar fights, under the IWCBA banner. I wasn't getting paid and the standard was a long way off pro level (although you do get some handy boxers at white collar level, eg lads who have had amateur careers).

Mate , call it what you want as there all the same - Unlicensed / White Collar / Semi pro , theres absolutely no difference between them at all , just depends what name the promotor preferes to use , i tend to use the name semi pro other than on here as people always kick up a fuss whatever you call it , the only time i have an issue is the name unlicensed as that makes it sound shady etc , which it aint , well not when im involved anyway , if you werent getting paid then in my opinion thats a bit dodgy , you should be getting paid if your putting your ass on the line , the EBF are White collar but they are the most established outfit in the country on these types of show and they pay , whos shows do you usually box on ?

I might be making my way down to this a friends friend is fighting.
How many people do you expect to get in there? Ive never been to one of these shows before so would be interested in seeing how it compares to a pro show in regards to skill level and entertainment factor.
