Kell Brook Vs Lovemore Ndou - 25/06/11

Post by bigB »

On the 25th June Special Kell Brook returns back to his hometown to fight veteran fighter Lovemore Ndou.

This his first fight under new promotions and for the fans in Sheffield. It's a step up in class and will be a fight that well and truly put Kell on the world scene.

Predicting a 5th round stoppage babbii!!

What do others reckon?

Is this a step up for Kell Brook? Hardly what I was expecting to be honest.
N'Dou is old news and nothing more than a gatekeeper now and if Brook is serious about mixing with the elite, then how can this be the acid test he needs?

Eddie Hearn, is making all the noises about testing him and then serves us this up!

A cerap fight in the smallest and grottiest venue in Sheffield againsta 39 year old (or at least that what the record says, he's propably older) who has won 3 out of 8 fights in the last 3 years. Sure, he won the IBF title, but lost it to the powder puff puncher in Pauli Mallinaggi.

We have already seen this guy lose to Witter and only draw with Matthew Hatton so can this fading fighter, who 6 weeks after Brook surely dismantles him, wouldn't event be allowed to box over here.

Face it, this guy is now a washed up 62 fight veteran, so unless Sky and Eddie top the card with something of interest, I fail to see this as anywhere near a competitive contest.

Surely there are better Welterweights out there for Kell Brook to build a reputation upon?

N'Dou is still as hard as a rock and tough, and will definetly come to win! I see Brook starting fast but N'Dou's fundamentals should give Brook some problems when he comes looping in a sharp N'Dou jab might make him think twice! But Brook should be too fast and athletically gifted. His fitness should take over and see him threw to win a competitive Decision

It will be a test, then later in year October time he wants to be fighting someone at high European/World level.

Be a good undercard hopefully with some local talent.

Decent test, but I would expect Brook to box rings around the aging N'Dou if he's going to make it at the top level.

What a shit fight!Ndou is a washed up blown up light welterweight.Absolute farce.Whens brook actually going to box someone who can actually challenge him? P.s if Ndou manages to do that then Brook should retire.

So why didn't you get Brook a better opponent when he was with you?

And as for it being the smallest and most grotty venue in Sheffield, that's laughable. It's just a leisure centre, no more, no less.

If you compare this to the previous fights the only other decent domestic fighter was Michael Jennings who had a World Title shot and lost.

Its a step up no matter how we see it, this guy has never been stopped, yeah he maybe pushing on getting his pension but Saul Alavarez did not stop him and look at him now a World Champ.

This is a fight that can show to the boxing world how could Kell actually is. If he stops N'dou then he will have done what no other fighter has done.

He can then step up to World Level, with Matchroom having gained decent fighters now, Darren Barker, Carl Froch that makes a decent bill for future fights. Even have some darts and snooker at the same time :D

hopefully brook looks good and proves that he actually is a big deal. he was boring, in the wazza fights, fights that did not flatter him or bring the best out of him.

too right son, go within 1/2 mile of swillsborough and i get hives plus a feeling of wanting to punch Smel Turdland in the face.

this fight is not a good one for kell IMO. Ndou is over the hill but still tough so he doesnt pose a threat but will possibly last the distance, putting question marks on kell's power

What odds will you give me on someone on the Sky team saying "seasoned veteran", "teak tough" or "wiley campaigner" during the program?

Lol

Personally if i was match-making Kell Brook i would go hunting for someone like Jose Cotto instead, or if possible, dip into the wallet and try and bag Paulie Malignaggi for him soon.

Paulie sells a fight, is well known stateside too. If a deal could be brokered for Kell to fight on a GBP undercard against Paulie then that wouldn't do him any harm in building his name.

If he destroys Paulie, it will make people take note across the Atlantic.
