its a descent enough card , but the ppv will only show maybe 3 or 4 fights , which annoys the hell out of me , in my opinion a ppv card should include every fight , its up to the paying spectator wether he watches them all , but that should be at least an option , would it really take that much extra effort , even if they were just shown without commentary until the main show starts .

I know i appreciate that, but with his age and experience, it is a pointless fight. He may as well just do 10 rounds extra sparring.

Well I'll be there to support Braehmer and while you Welshies will be louder, this (adopted) German will be the one smiling at the end of the fight. :TU:
Do you think the inactivity of Braehmer will play a role in the fight? I personally think Warren has timed this correctly.

I'm seeing people say *if* Clev gets caught....

come on, now, when have we seen him in action NOT getting smacked really hard round the chops?

I think it's a good style match-up. I'd expect Braehmer to bang him to the body with the left hook and bring up the uppercuts. I think Cleverly can nick it by being slightly busier and punching in bunches (sorry to use a cliche) and keeping Braehmer thinking and not giving him time to fire off those big shots.

I'd love to see Clev use his height and reach and jabbing the crap out of him and using combinations at range but it's just not gonna happen.

It's a case of 'passing go and collecting' wadey — he comes through this one and he gets to fight Burns next time out

Depends what you like. If it's competitive fights (esp for Box Office), how many are there? (on paper, of course)

Not many.

Being smacked hard by his previous opponents and being smack hard by Braehmer are 2 different things completely.

I appreciate that he likes a war though and doesn't make things easy for himself by any stretch! I hope he boxes as we know he can though because he is more than capable of making this an easy nights work imo.
woah, bold statement. the one i've bolded, arf arf.

I see the Clev fight going the distance myself. I think people are overating the power of Brahmer. Okay, he had an off night - but Mario Shite when the distance with him in their first fight. He is often a grind them down kind of fighter, when he steps up against durable fighters he cannot even budge them (e.g. Garay).

He is far from feather fisted, I would classify him as a puncher, but he isn't the second coming of Mike Tyson and Clev's chin has past every test so far.

I seriously believe that Braehmer-Cleverly will be a draw - might even put some money on it

fair play to you mate. i think 'easy night's work' is by far the least likely outcome, however :TU:

haha. okay, say Braehmer doesn't turn up.

that's one scenario in which i can see an easy night's work for clev :TU:

Braehmer ain't even turned up yet.

however, clev ain't fought anyone on Braehmer's level, or at the level of Braehmer's competition, yet, not as far as I can see. he is as yet unproven at world level, and we've all seen plenty of British fighters who look mint at euro level get a caning when they step up.

Very poor card in my opinion, only two competitive fights out of 14 just isn't acceptable. Fair enough, the two fights are both potential FOTY candidates and are genuine 50/50 match ups on paper, but i don't wanna sit through 12 glorified sparring sessions before.

I feel like i'm repeating myself every time this subject comes up but it can't be that difficult (or expensive) to put on a few more closely matched fights. Get Sexton in a British or English eliminator with Skelton/Harrison/Olubamiwo, Smith likewise with Mendy/David/Anderson.

I won't complain about Nicky Cook since Al Hamidi is probably my favourite journeyman to watch and Cook's had 2 years out.

We don't need big names with unbeaten records fighting each other every time, just actual fights. A couple of area title fights wouldn't go amiss either.

Brahmer cannot outpoint Clev, he does not work enough and tends to cover up a fair bit, I see Clev outworking him, I just hope he boxes early in the fight, I feel Jurgen blows from 6 onwards and if Clev attacks the torso it could pay dividens later on, once past 6 I fancy Clev bigtime but for the first 6 I side with Jurgen!! This won't be easy and Clev will have to come through certain patches but he can do it! I hope so anyway.. ;-) patience early and long range boxing is an absolute must!!

using a phrase like "cannot outpoint clev" could come back and bite you in the backside fella...As you know, a knockdown can easily level the scorecards, no matter how your workrate is.
