David Pearce would have KO'd Glenn Mccrory at Cruiserweight no problem !!

I mean no disrespect to a Glenn he was a worthy World Champion but Pearce was avoided had no real training regime, no real promotion behind him and slept on benches before big fights !!

He was a real Throwback a real life Rocky and at 13st 7 he did this:

No love for Johnny nelson ? was a journeyman heavy at one point and pretty sure he won WBF heavy title

He (Nelson) KO'd the same fighter Pearce did in the same round 15 years after Pearce had done it in his prime !!

Nelson was a good fighter though and very clever and he achieved a lot.

Bloody right he did ! after 11 fights he was 6-5 as a cruiser then went on to win British title and get a shot at WBC after just 20 fights, was a bit up and down after that fighting again for cruiser world title as well as mixing it with decent heavies before his 20 fight unbeaten run back at cruiser winning British, European and WBO titles(13 defences), he boxed in Italy, Denmark, Germany, France, Belgium, south Africa, Australia, new Zealand, Thailand, Brazil and las vegas ! sorry for sounding like a fan boy but was just reviewing his record and couldn't help myself !

Pearce could have been a World Champion at Light Heavy and Cruiserweight.

He won the British Heavyweight Champion so proved he could do it at Heavyweight also

With regards to Johnny Nelson what he achieved was phenomenal and is probably Britain's best ever Cruiser, and he has the acknowledgement of all the public! He wasn't that great at Heavy though.

Not many people know of David Pearce or his life and tribulations he had it really tough in and out of the ring and was a true gentleman

I'm not sure Glenn McCrory was ever a heavyweight, but yeah the domestic heavyweight scene is good at the moment - no world beaters but some great fights - price-mcdermott is interesting - if chisora fights fury, more than interesting. Sexton and Rogan fighting any of the names above, always good to watch. Tom Dallas - who Knows?

Noticed Pearce had his last fight in the states 6yrs after his previous wouldn't mind knowing the story behind that, also 41 was a young age to die was it illness or something more sinister ?

Dropped dead no explanation, he should never have too that fight gave away 5 stone and had not fought for 6 years!

That was not the David 'Bomber' Pearce who had KO'd Ferris and the like.
