Edwards vs Kirby(Australian Heavy Weight Title)

Now I attended this fight and I must say I was disappointed with the outcome 'Edwards vs Kirby. How can the judges say that it was a draw? Seriously you need to wonder if the judges are actually watching the same fight as everyone else.

To say or even indicate that 'Edwards' done enough to even consider a Draw is a load of crap. KIRBY was the aggressor who continually went forward and domanded the fight. EDWARDS held KIRBY most of the time and he tried move around but Kirby was always there in front of him.

The judges at this fight should all go and have their eyes checked!

KIRBY is the AUSTRALIAN Heavy Weight Champion......

I Thought Kirby won the first 4 and the last. Edwards surprised me with his fitness, and Kirby is the toughest bastard going in Australian boxing atm, it really was a good fight and would like to see it again.

I just hope they have a couple of quick fights first.

I thought Kirby in a close fight 96-94, but there were some close rounds and a draw isnt a bad result.

I was surprised at his fitness too. He looked more like a tight head rugby prop than a boxer.

Thanks 'sassy'for the support,Taking nothing away from bens performance,which was great,but I know I won that fight,if ben done to me what I done to him you'd all be raving about how he dominated the first 5 rnds,was the aggressor and never held on,but because I did it theres no credit to me.Just because he survived the distance(which is impressive)Doesn't mean he wins the rounds.Ben is a good bloke and fighter and I wish him well,Remach will be a cracker!

I thought the fight could have gone either way, Rhino, Many different factors working for both of you, but you didn't take a backward step. A very entertaining fight, and a gutsy effort coming forward for ten rounds.

Rhino mate I think the result was a joke you clearly won the fight ie was the agressor , landed the cleaner punches and no doubt will win the re match

I watched this and felt Kirby won, Was hoping Edwards would KO his ass but to my surprise Kirby performance was tops - well done(Rhino).
Bring on the rematch.

I thought it was a close fight. I have no problem with the result. Neither guy dominated the fight IMO. It was good to watch and I am glad it was a draw because now we will hopefully get to watch a rematch and both lads will hopefully get some decent coin for doing it all over again.

it was a gutsy fight by both guys, but kirby won imo.

but ben will improve 10 fold with this fight under his belt. it will be interesting how his progress will be after a couple of fights like this.
