I'm a big fan of David's but seriously some of the stuff he has been doing is cringeworthy. The borat impression was quite pathetic.
David isn't interested in making friends with Wlad but the early signs are that Wlad has in some way gotten under his skin. It could all be irrelevant as people have said before. The main thing is Haye is aware of the dangers, he has come to terms with them and is under no illusions. Wlad can knock him out, he knows this. Wlad likes to use his strength to hold and push people around, he knows this etc etc.
At least David won't be too shocked at what he is presented with on the night. I wonder how seriously Wlad is taking this challenge?

Re: David Haye Ringside
I don't think Haye plays the part of 'nasty piece of work' naturally, I'd say it's forced to an extent. From the ludicrous insults right down to the Tyson stroll/stare when in the ring.
Minus an agenda, he comes across as a fairly likable chap, very self-deprecating and down to earth. I'd say the majority of the shit-talking's orchestrated and when confronted by Wlad's nice-guy routine, up close and personal, it's only natural that his reactions and demeanour would appear anxious and uneasy. He's off-script and improvising when on the spot, coupled with this being the biggest fight of his career it isn't surprising he might seem a bit off.

Very interesting point of viewed robinson wrote:I'm no psychologist but I think there is often a large disparity between what a boxer has convinced himself in his consciousness and what his sub consiciousness really knows. Shane Mosley was pretty convincing on FightCamp 360 - if he was lying in the build up I don't think he knew he was.

Audley must surely be the GOAT at pre-fight self deception.
Re: David Haye Ringside
I thought Haye should have either sat in the studio with Vlad and played it cool or sit backstage with no camera and then come on to the set to do a separate interview after Vlad had finished. As it was, Vlad held the stronger position as being the one who showed up in the studio and he was able to bait Haye and control the whole interview as Haye sat backstage shaking his head.
Vlad was hilarious with his crazy eyes and 'shake the hand waving gesture lol At one point in the interview Haye looked like he wanted to laugh with Vlad.
I don't think this means anything psychologically at this stage, it was just good tv and served well to hype the fight. And I expect Haye to be his usual confident self on fight night, he has a lot of experience to deal with it.

We will know all we need to day when they stand there facing each other and touch gloves, in fact, the ring walk is usually a pretty good indicator as well.gasman wrote:I thought Haye should have either sat in the studio with Vlad and played it cool or sit backstage with no camera and then come on to the set to do a separate interview after Vlad had finished. I remember Gatti before Floyd, jumping out of his skin when the pyrotechnics went off behind him - he knew he was going to get annihilated in there - in fact, he invited by fighting scared. Had he pressured floyd, he may have made a decent scrap out of it.
Re: David Haye Ringside
Wlads done haye a favour by wanting to come to the ring last, not that the number 1 shouldnt anyway. Haye wont have his opposition stood in the ring waiting for him and will be able to come out cool as you like. Wlad will have to come to the ring with haye looking down on him and if haye isnt looking intimidated, Wlad is going to be bothered.jamesmcdonnell wrote:We will know all we need to day when they stand there facing each other and touch gloves, in fact, the ring walk is usually a pretty good indicator as well.gasman wrote:I thought Haye should have either sat in the studio with Vlad and played it cool or sit backstage with no camera and then come on to the set to do a separate interview after Vlad had finished. Re: David Haye Ringside
i was going to start a seperate thread about this but have added my comments here..........haye tells us he is sick and tired of klithckos "borat voice" and "doesnt like the way he looks, the way he talks, everything he stands for etc"......its clear haye the king of the chavs and fatherless council estate chav upbringing hates the family values, education and morals of klitchko which are a throwback to a bygone era in england.G0mez wrote:You cant be for real.the truth wrote:It's just a ploy to wind klit up so he comes out swinging and gets caught by a" hayemaker"
Come on surely you can see this?
The guy has a docterate from university and speaks 5 languages fluently.
There's only one guy playing mind games, and it aint Haye.
Think about how friendly and cheery Wlad is toward Haye and everyone. He's disarming him.
imagine if a white man had said the same thing haye said to wlad in reverse to haye...imagine the uproar.....
hayes defence of the decapitation t shirt was sickening and the horrific news of the granny decapitated later in the week only emphasized it more.....
nelson was utterly arseholed by the eloquent wladimir when wlad said "how would you like it if your mother saw that t shirt with your head on it".....
before anyone cries racism i come from the same community in london as haye only im not a chav and dont go around judging people on my perception of how they look and should look.......i guess in hayes world wladimir should look and talk and dress like ali g to be acceptable to him?
no wonder even hayes wife hates him he is a real arrogant heartless ccunt of a man devoid of charm.
he said all his bold talk with the samew fear in his eyes i saw in michael spinks before tyson.
Re: David Haye Ringside
beleive me wladimirs english is far superior to many of your "native english speakers" including haye and nelson.......nelsons problem is he is given a set list of questions and feels compelled to ask them by butting in in that rushed lispy imcomprehensible voice he only gets on ringside.....so what happens is, often the interviewee is just opening up to give a revealing answer or some info we have been waiting on......and nelson the non proffesional butts in and asks some irrelevent question which takes the interviewee in another direction ....and its the viewer that loses outforcefraser wrote:Haye was spot on about not wanting to get comfortable with Wlad. It looks like Haye has some problems dealing with Wlad's dominant personality, so the less time he spends with him the better.
Johnny Nelson needs to realise that when interviewing a non native english speaker, he needs to slow down his questions and not talk as though he is chatting with some mates down the pub. Wlad speaks good English, but he had problems undertanding Nelson last night.
nelson isnt a pro and shame on smith for not controlling this aspect. A pro would see the interviewee is opening up let him continue
