verbal agreements - now Carl should know better than most what they mean (sorry I couldn't resist it).

Well fair play though, I was expecting him to say Hopkins is what he wants - in terms of pretty much everything, surely Hopkins would be the bigger fight. So nice to see him looking at just having another tear up.

Has he ever admitted that the Kessler fight was close even?

I can't see Pascal being the same after the first Hopkins fight he looked mentally shattered at the end!! I think Hopkins will totally dismantle him again on Saturday night and get a wide decision! I wouldn't mind seeing how Froch coped with Hopkins though

I personally don't like this talk of future opponents. He's got potentially two very tough fights ahead of him and I would imagine he would be the underdog in the Ward fight. Also, it's far from a foregone conclusion that he beats Johnson. Johnson may be a come forward fighter but he's possesses a much better skill set than Abraham including head movement, shorter punches and better ability to close the distance. I hope the Froch camp don't see it as an easy fight. I really, really hope he wins the super six, mind. Ward is horrible to watch!

If he does win the tournament, I'd like to see him in with the winner of Bute vs Kessler so he can claim to have truly cleaned out the division.

Johnson definately applies pressure better than Abraham, but he is looking slow of late. I would be very surprised if Froch loses - needs to fight the way he did against Abraham and he should be home and dry. Johnson has lost (clearly) too many times now, there is a blue print to beat him.

Ward is a different kettle of fish, seems to have underated strength also.

Well it's a good option for them both to have. If they both win their next couple of fights then it's a huge match up, if they lose then it's a good stepping stone back to the big time.

I fancy Froch to clean up against Johnson and Ward though, absolutely no bias in that at all

It's certainly interesting that Froch is still mentioning a possible fight against Joe Calzaghe. I mean seriously, this will surely never happen.

As stated, Johnson is up first and should certainly not be overlooked. I don't think Froch is overlooking anyone to be honest though, I just think he's enjoying his new lease of publicity and rightly so. It's his time to shine and let's hope he shines bright.

So what is the truth regarding Froch's lack of celebrity status, then? For a long time, GOmez reliably informed us Carl would prefer to be annonymous and wouldnt be seen dead on the chat show circuit, etc. Now, from the horses mouth, we hear he is very upset and is desperate for acknowledgement! If i knew how to do it, i would post links to threads where he has said this, and more, repeatedly.

Froch will struggle against Johnson but scrape through. Then he will lose to Ward on pts.

Pascal will likely get clowned again by Hopkins. So a year from now this rematch won't be as lusted for by the public but still a good fight.

Froch vs Hopkins. More than likely Bernard would make Froch look stupid. You need 3 variable to succeed against Hopkins: speed, workrate, angles. Froch only really possesses 1 of those traits - workrate.

I would rather see Bute vs the Super 6 winner as the first fight. Bute might not be fighting the names, but he is looking impressive. Brian Magee is a decide gate keeper into true world class - He should have got the decision vs Tsypko, and gave a faded Reid and Froch a real hard fight. Bute beat him well.

Yawn.

Not really, you just despise the fact that several years ago when Froch was British champion I was jeered for stating that he would batter his way to the top of the pile.

Now you nit pick for silly comments. Why even bother trying to make something out nothing about such a pathetic subject ?

Well go ahead and fill your boots because it just shows you up as the sad tit that you are.

I only joined in 2009 so was not about several years ago when you were getting jeered. As for nit picking, you truly are Boxrec's undisputed champ with your Khan obsession. The lad and his family cant do anything without you starting a thread on it. If i was to fill my boots, it would show you up, not me, as a hypocrite. Who are Sky anyway? "Froch is part of a much bigger picture...". I could go on, and on, and on...
Fair play to Foch for battering his way to near the top of the pile, i dont dispute he is definately top five in his division. How you have him top after losing to Kessler is another matter...

Fact is Mickey, you troll any thread of Froch you can find - before trying to shit stir me into an argument with you in your quest to discredit anything Carl Froch does in life.

Here you are again. I'm surprised one of the mods hasn't pulled you up yet.

Regardless, you sift away through my posts. Try and make me look bad if it makes your sad and tedious life any better.

This is the second time you have wondered aloud why the mods have not pulled me! Fact is, GOmez, your the one throwing the insults about, i have a sad and tedious life and am feckin stupid, apparently. I note the hypocrisy again, i only react to threads on here whereas you must put a lot of effort into finding out some of the non stories you start threads on about Khan. You are well known for it. I actually respect Froch a lot and think he is a very good fighter, but i am not blind to his limitations and wont pretend to be. Like i said, top five, nothing wrong with that, its a good division.

They said the same after the first Taylor fight and Hopkins didn't really do anything differently in that one. That said, the knockdowns are what made the difference in the Pascal fight.

froch and ward should focus on their "bidness" in the super 6 tournament. they keep making headlines with so and so eyes 175-pounds/pascal/bute, all of which it out of the showtime tourney which they're tied to...

on another subject, anyone else think ward could be in trouble if he tried to get dirty (hugging, butting) and make it rough vs froch? froch is the bigger,. stronger, roughier, nastier and far tougher man. (that's assuming froch gets by glen johnson.)

ward made a pig's ear of it - somewhat - v sakio bika in ward's perhaps most unwatchable fight.

i'm very disappointed in bute, especially with his line up of opponents. he could easily get complacent again, he's not being tested at all at world level, and could get caught napping again (as with andrade 1st fight).

i think as yet its unproven completely that froch is bigger nastier tougher etc

I've never yet seen him carve holes into someone else's head with his forehead, for example.

I would say Ward could be nastier, and cuter with it. He will be as big, too. And a better in-fighter.

It will be a shame if the Super Six winner doesn't fight Bute before moving up IMO.
