I think that Haye would have been lucky to last more than a few rounds, and I bet Haye himself would admit as much - he's said that Lewis was his idol growing up.

Lewis' jab would have shaken Haye to his boots, and one of those thunderous right crosses would have ended the fight in an instant.

Interesting how many on this forum believe Haye will beat Wlad but so few give him more than a couple of rounds in with Lewis.

Well, Lewis was much better than Wlad - that's why. An out of shape and undermotivated Lewis with one eye on retirement, shredded the older, bigger, tougher, badder brother.

He would have eaten Wlad alive.

I agree that Lewis was better than Wlad and would have knocked him out. So I could see people saying Wlad beats Haye and Lewis beats Haye even easier.

I find it harder to understand anyone thinking Haye has the tools to beat Wlad but that those tools would be absolutely no use whatsoever against Lewis.

Just an observation.

I look at this as a '2 in 10' scenario. If they fought 10 times, resetting each time, Lewis would be hammered out in two of those ten bouts, while the remaining eight would involve the more likely outcome of Haye either being smashed out fairly sharpish or being broken down.

Lewis is clearly the better all around fighter, and as boxing royalty the exaggerations in this thread are perfectly understandable.

If Haye manages to render Wlad unconscious in brutal fashion, I'd have to up it to 3 in 10. :OhYes:

I think Haye would need to make that famous T-shirt scene come true, before he would be afforded anything more than a puncher's chance against Lewis.

Think: Hide vs Bowe.

Actually, I think he'd fair better against Tyson.

As much as I like Haye a fight against Lewis is over within 2 rounds.

Lewis was absolute mustard, he really was.

He sliced a prime Vitali's face in half when Lewis was overweight and undermotivated.

A fully fit Lewis and in the zone beats both Klitschko's and Haye inside an aggregate total of 10 rounds

The current version of Lewis would take 3 rounds to end it. Prime Lewis? I think Haye dies in the ring.

Whilst I have no doubt about Haye's bottle, but here, he gets destroyed.

Lewis's jab was a thunderous punch and the right would just end it.

Too strong, too rangy, too skilled and too powerful.

Love Haye's style and bottle, a true fighter but Lewis was a great, great Champ.

Lewis at his peak KO's Haye.

Size isnt everything (read Haye destroying Audley) but Lennox is highly skilled too, and would outbox Haye, wear him down... and BOOM. Haye won't get up from lennox's right hand

Lewis did not fight Wlad, he fought Vitali. Wlad is fighting Haye.

Your getting the brothers mixed up

No mate you've got confused by my post somewhere. I never said Lewis fought Wlad.

I was talking about peoples' assessments of Haye's chances against Lewis and Wlad respectively, Lewis' fight with Vitali doesn't come into it.
