Last man standing - Auckland sat.night.

Post by Craig14 »

Did anybody go on saturday night? A kiwi prizefighter for cruisers which Vaitele Soi won beating Shane Chapman in the final. Soi is 17-0 now. 3,000 fans went and money was raised for the christchurch earthquake appeal. The winner got NZ$10,000. Would be interesting to hear about it as I wasn't there. Can somebody put the full list of results up cheers.

Cameron is really chasing Green, if Soi can beat a couple of bigger names than he has he might actually push himself into contention.

ATM his big wins are against Azzouri(who has been beaten by every decent fighter from Australia) Chapman, good Kick boxer, but not a big name in boxing, and Oscar Siale, 1 of the toughest fighters in recent memory from NZ.
I think similar to what Cameron has done( Fight McCracken,Ammann and Vea) might actually get him a profile fight.

PS I would rather see Soi in against the 2 Cruisers who are climbing the ranks here Pitt and Forsyth, someones 0 would have to go.

Pitt would have no trouble with Soi.

I've been very impressed with Pitt's footwork and hand speed since he was an amateur, I think these factors alone mean he would have little trouble with most cruisers of this region, as shown by his performance on Friday night.

How and why is Soi rated 3rd in New Zealands ratings? He's Samoan champion and is not even a New Zealand resident.

Hard to get a fix on Samoans.
His last 8 fights were in NZ, so one can only assume he resides there.

ofcoarse - not really the question though. atleast Tua lives in n.z and boxed for n.z as an am. Lives in Mangaree
Am I still allowed to be called a pom? Soi is a samoan living in Samoa - why is he number 3 in the n.z rankings. Am I repeating myself.

When next Soi fights, I'll get officiating body to ask him what he wants in his profile. So keep your pants on 'til then
