What a top man he is! Credit to the sport.
Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
If he is there in the ring and his team have aloud him to go through with it, then bring it on
If he isn't, then shame on you Tony Bellew for getting our hopes up...
Either way, it says a lot about the man that nobody is doubting his willingness to make the fight - and that's not an easy thing to do on the internet

Cut your tongue out ud make weight easy
jokes
you know what ur weights like, your got nothing to lose&if you do lose you can always use the weight/late notice excuse.....they must be paying you silly £££££ to even think of it,get Ovill out the way, then Mcintosh then maybe a poss shot at the welshman
Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
Don't do it tony you will be drained as fcuck lad.
You need to give yourself every chance when your oppurtunity comes and fighting cleverly in the shape of his life at 3 days notice isn't doing that.

Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
on ESB there's a post purportedly from bombers twitter (can't get it here) stating that he's just 6.5lbs over....

Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
I personally know he wants this fight and will take it. Bring it on!!!!!!!!! He is only 6 1/2 over

Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
6.5 lbs is nothing, he can easily take that off, great opportunity and FW would reward him for stepping in if things went bad, it's a no lose situation.
I don't think Cleverly is great either, he won't have a better chance to win a world title

Get the phone to FW then Bomber and see what he says and let us know what he says.
Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
clev was preparing for a southpaw in the kraut...not a conventional fighter.BIGMARK wrote:WOW, I go out for an hour an Mr Bellew throws his hat into the ring![]()
I would love to see this fight but Bomber has to think of his future, yes he believes he can beat Cleverly but surely needs to have prepared full. Remember Cleverly was preparing for the fight of his life and will be no doubt at his best where Bomber is still 6 weks away from fight night. Add this to the weight loss and it's a big risk.
Only Tony knows if he is ready or not but he has to use his heart not his heart when making the decision if offered to him.
Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
Surely this fight has to be made.
Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
I'd like to know what shape he is in. How long has he been in the gym training for Ovil? He will already know Clevs strengths & weaknesses.
Two Great British Rivalries. I bet FW wants to save this for another PPV though.

Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
Totally. Four days prep for Cleverly, even if fighting fit, is by no means ideal. Respect for stepping up to the plate, but Bellew wouldn't be giving himself the best chance of winning. I would love to see this fight down the line, but not now, because we wouldn't be seeing Bellew at 100 per cent.BIGMARK wrote:Only Tony knows if he is ready or not but he has to use his head not his heart when making the decision if offered to him.

No disrespect to Tony, but I agree most definately and TommyGunn raises a very valid point.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:No, for all sorts of reasons.

Great
Id love to see it, we will get to see his True Potential
6 and a half lb is nothing to a man of his size, to only be that much shows us how he has been training and is Fit for the Fight.... Would be great.....

Re: I WANT THE FIGHT!!!
I'd love it, as long as making weight isn't dangerous to his health. Bomber hasn't got anything to lose other than his "0", but given the circumstances even if he does lose no-one in the sport will be able to slate him. If he wins, the world is his oyster and the paydays get very much bigger. Go for it. I wasn't going to bother with PPV, but if Tony gets the job i'll be on the phone to SKY immediatly.
