2 KO's in 20 fights, so he ain't coming to KO Nathan. 2 losses by KO, against the 2 best opponents he has faced. All others on his record are non descript, so the likelyhood that he can outbox Nathan is even more remote.

The Polish guy is cannon fodder. End of.

I know the goalposts have moved somewhat since Joe's reign and Enzo's run but can anyone else see Cleverly being taken down a similar path?

I know there has been loose chat about the likes of Hopkins-Pascal, Dawson etc but I can't ever see Nathan being good enough to give such fighters much trouble. I hope I'm wrong but I can see a longish reign of WBO mandatories coming over the next couple of years.

According to those rankings Chad Dawson lives in New Zealand so there’s a strong chance that he turned it down because he’d have been jet lagged. That or the fact he’s fighting Adrian Diaconu on the same night. Chad Dawson needs to step up. He’s robbed us of a bonanza.

It means what it means, he is deemed the 11th best boxer in the world by the WBO. You can criticise the WBO for their past, and present rankings but at the end of the day this is a last minute fight. Didn't Cleverly have to fight a fighter ranked in the top 15 of their rankings in order for it to be a title fight? You can say this person, or another would be a better opponent for the fight but what did you really expect given the time constraints? He is a better choice than Kenny Anderson though.

The right thing IMO would be a too schedule the whole bill a month or so down the line, see if Braehmer's cut has healed, see if Bellew can make weight.... offering refunds on Sky Box Office and Ticket owners.

we can all play amateur promoter 'oh Alan Green surely if they chucked him 100k he'd turn up with a chance at the WBO'

as for 84 hours instead of 48, well I'm sure the extra 36 hours would be a great help for fighters to lose any extra weight, get transported across the globe, get over jetlag and so on.

that extra 36 hours suddenly makes the timeline completely feasible I can't believe i was so negative about the whole thing.
