DIRT SUGAR wrote: Yeah I've heard Degale was more than a stone over the weight four weeks before he boxed Smith. That, along with having to get in shape for his first 12-rounder, plus losing three pounds a week, couldn't have been easy, even with fitness nut Jimmy Mac pushing him! Wonder if he is tight at 12st. Thought he looked alot bigger than Groves in recent pictures of them standing side by side.
Yep, both made the weight a-ok.

Degale at 9.30 this Morning Run passed me at Stonebridge park :o :o Sweat Suit on :o Very very slow pace...
The real question is have they saved the adventure playground?

i was looking forward to the double with bellew, i always knew it was unlikely for the pair to both win, but i saw the weigh-in diffrent to most, i thought groves looked in great shape and very confident, his obviously the underdog and deserves to be to, but im having £50 on groves to win by stoppage ! i know it was 11/4 to win so should be around 5/1, im going to check it out now.

Fair play to ya! I've fancied DeGale all along myself and still do but I have to admit groves did look calm, confident and ready to fight at the weigh in and his price is defo worth a punt for those who think he'll win.

3/1 at ladbrokes for a £200 return but it's only £12.50 you won't mind if he wins

Fair play, it's a shame Hayes such a shit price now, I effin lumped on him 2 years ago against wlad at the same price groves is now, I thought it was an incredible bet and then the fight went under :witzend: .

I honestly thought Groves looked more confident and also that he looked to have won another psychological battle when they faced each other....I hope its not an anti-climax i.e. early cut

You're really fawning over DeGale in this topic.

Both of them looked confident to me.

Ha true, and I don't even like him ! Love to see Groves get the win, but it's not gonna happen.

I don't know. I really thought DeGale would win this when it was first announced, but I can't help but think of their amateur fight and how their latest fights appear to create a greater skill disparity than there actually is. I think either DeGale will dominate Groves and greatly impress everyone, or it'll be a very close affair.

Did you take, or do you have, any photos of DeGale & Groves?
