Bradley Price - I'll take him out in the later rounds
Re: Bradley Price - I'll take him out in the later rounds
Pryce just doesn't have a high enough workrate, he obviously fancies himself as a bit of a flashy boxer but can only produce it in short bursts. The excuses have ran out for Pryce imo.

Agreed - if Brad had anything left he'd have beaten Rabchenko comfortably. Sergey was slow, robotic and gassed - not at all impressed with him as a prospect, though he may improve.
Just finished watching the replay in slow-mo HD and...
Probably was a bit early, as Max was starting to hold his hands up, but you can certainly see why Foster thought he was gone. I did on first watching and on slow-mo it's clear that his head flicks back and his eyes roll in quite a scary way.
On both occasions he seems to recover in few seconds and get his hands up in defence, but - in the heat of the moment - the ref erred on the side of caution and with a banger planting his feet and teeing off, perhaps that's best.
No doubt Max had recovered to be ok within about 5 secs, but that's kinda irrelevant if Foster thought he wasn't able to defend himself for those 5 secs.
In conclusion, a bit of a controversial early early stoppage, but defo not the scandal they're making out. No way it would "turn the crowd off boxing" imo.

that was a typical ensure that the home fighter wins scenario. Good fight though. Having been one of pryce's biggest supporters over the years i think it is now time to call it a day or fall in to gate keeper status. 3 years ago he would have stopped that russian. after all he stopped a very good anthony small and at times looked world class prior to mathew hall decapitating him. He is an underachiever in the same manner as tony doherty.

Agreed on the underachiever status, but only got himself to blame from what i hear. He's another Ricky Hatton outside of the ring.kamicazze wrote:that was a typical ensure that the home fighter wins scenario. Good fight though.
