I see Eubank and his old man turn up at Groves' gym the other day on that corny behind the scenes sky show yesterday although they didn't show any footage of the spar.
All we know is that he sparred with Groves and Sky afterwards showed a shot of Groves sitting at the side of the ring in thought. It was most likely staged.
Yeah, it was absolutely implied in the behind the ropes bit, but it's not hard to imagine Booth and Groves both being complicit in allowing it to be put across that way in order to give Degale some kind of false sense of security, get him feeling more complacent than he already is. Eubank's kid gets a boost to boot, everybody wins.
I think if Groves really had gotten bashed up, we wouldn't have been privy to any of it.
Also groves looked happy after the heavy Dirrell sparing, i find it hard to believe he got dicked by eubank jr.
He looked quite raw, Groves will have eased off in sparring, no doubt.
Kid's a WIP, though tech pads only he didn't look a puncher, little rotation, no hip/foot on cross, very stiff and mechanical and no spring. Obviously early days but he's raw.
Hes boxing that night in a rematch against a lad i know from lincoln called Nathan DeCastro , he boxed him around a week ago and despite nathan having an injured ankle (a real injury with photographic evidence) he gave Eubank a real hard time , so the rematch is expected to actually be a pretty good bout .

So what's his amateur record? Are you going?
Too far for me , at least for such a show , not certain what Nathans amateur record is but i dont think its anything special .

Floyd Snr's a great pad man though!
My thoughts exactly. Good post.
Say what you like about the Mayweathers but they know their boxing.
