To be honest, I had Groves ahead by a round but I would have had no arguments had it gone to Degale by a round or if it was a draw. It was a very close fight and some rounds were very hard to score.

My God!

Groves has done it.

And you know what, I think, even thought I had Degale as the winner, I think Groves deserved it. He left nothing on the table; I think that Degale was always boxing within himself.

Adam Booth deserves huge credit for devising that plan.

DeGale has only himself to blame, he didn't land with authority early on in the fight.

There were several round I thought could go either way, so even though I had it 7-5 Degale I have no problems with this. Glad to see Degale's cocky mouth shut.

Groves has no reason to. He's got both titles, onward to other things.

Fair play to the judges, I was fearful we would have one judge who would give it a white wash to DeGale. I have to say I agree with both the judges who gave it 115-114 to Groves. Had it gone 115-114 the other way I wouldn't complain tho, extremely close fight in my view. Congrats to Groves.

Karma for this being on PPV? I thought Degale won it personally although was willing for it to be George.... brain over talent maybe.... but credit to George he's alot faster than I thought he was and 100% improved.

Jimmy Lennon Jnr was such a tease with the announcement also.
