Yep poor fight - hope Gavin is honest at end.

Mutley is in survival mode but Gavin will come across this again in his career and has to find a way through these guys.

Watt and Darke have given Mutley zero respect BTW :shame:

Fairly embarrassing from Mutley there! He didn't look like he wanted it at all! Gavin is classy but didn't really show it tonight.

Mutley was pathetic, Gavin was under the weather and coughing up between rounds whcih should have been Mutley's signal to really give it a good go and stretch Gavin all the way. Poor fight as Mutley just lacked any ambition.

to be fair you could tell gavin had a chest infection or cold after the 2nd or 3rd round. I dont think he wanted to over exert himself at any point against the bigger man and had no reason too he won every round boxing in 1st gear.

well the fact he was coughing his gutts up in the corner between rounds made it pretty obvious to most including the commentary team.

It is hard to be in an entertaining fight when your opponent is just covering up and not really trying to win.

I think "funtime" is starting to look about as applicable to Frankie Gavin as "the entertainer" was to Johnny Nelson.

I thought Frankie was realistic after the fight. He wasn't pleased with the performance, which obviously wasn't helped by the ultra-negative Mutley. You would expect Frankie to overcome that and stop him, but it's obvious he wasn't 100% after being ill. As has been pointed out, he was coughing up between most rounds, very unlike him. He dominated every round and was never in danger so I don't see why, given the mitigating factors, anyone would get to deflated on Gavin's prospects based on this fight. He was only guilty of being desperate to get in there last night.

Frankie done his future earning/PPV opportunities irrepairable damage last night. He was shockingly boring, and made me completely disinterested in his future fights. I couldn't sit through that again.

Frankie has had a bit of flu for people thinking he wasn't his best! People should realize what being sick and making weight is really like! Frankie done a professional job last night and showed how great his fitness was by walking the 12 rounds! Well Done ;-)

i think gavin can fight at world level but i dont think he'll rule as he cant go through the gears & get people out of there.

take someones career into consideration rather than their last fight. Gavin has clearly demonstrated he has gears - he went into about 3rd against lomax and didnt get out of 1st last night. He's stopped 80% of his opponents.

The guy didnt loose one round and was barely going for it.

its just my opinion. i can see how well he reads his opponents but i also believe he lacks the gears. i thought lomax sagged rather then frankie up a gear. again my opinion.like any british fighter i love to be proven wrong & still back them regardless.
