Im hearing alot of people writting degale off now.

If he gets the experience and training to match his talent he's easily going to achieve world honours.

He didnt really do anything that wrong he just got baffled by groves tactics and style - his team are more to blame for that than him. He's a 11 fight novice not a seasoned pro. I doubt he's even operating at 60% of his potential.

Its not like he got ko'd or schooled he lost by a point.

i think we have to be realistic about what stage in their careers fighters are at. froch is an established champion where as degale and groves are talented novices, give it a year or two and id expect them to be gaining world honours.

DeGale can improve lots and lots. With his feet on the ground and with a bit of the rough, (instead of being the feted Golden Boy). He may need a big challenge and the fall of last night may be a very good thing for him.

There are consequences for being a dick before a fight and then losing the high profile PPV bout; he can rebuild but it will take him a bit of time to get back on track. No way should George rematch him; it is not a charity! James will have to work his tail off to get up there and hopefully he will be a much more pleasant and respectful man; someone we would want to win, who we could get behind and support.

That's true, but to be fair to both of them, they're about 2.5 years off being in Carl Froch's league & that's if they have the talent to go that far.

I disagree. I think we saw Groves give everything he had tonight, and saw half of what Degale has.
