Glad to see El Feo and Lewis finally make it.
Next I need to see Newsboy Brown make it since he has criminally never made the real one.
O'Dowd, Arizmendi, Blackburn & Booker too.

Re: Boxrec Hall of Fame Voting Results! (May 2011)
We used to to do them every 3 months, but I just don't have the time I used to and there does not seem to be the interest as there used to be. So I have just been doing them every 6 months.
As for Nelson-Maybe this would be a good time to discuss this. Going by the rules, Nelson should not be eligible until 2018. He had retired in 1998, but he had a comback fight in 2008.
I have brought this up before, but there didn't seem to be much interest in it. If we are going to make a new rule, we should clear on how we are doing it. If we do make a new rule it would have to apply to anyone in that circumstance.
What do you guys think?

I agree. Neither Azumah or Jeff are making a comeback and their could not have been more than an exhibition.BarryWashington wrote:maybe the new rule can be :Ambling Alp wrote:We used to to do them every 3 months, but I just don't have the time I used to and there does not seem to be the interest as there used to be. if a certain fighter has retired and comes back after five years minimum he must have more than two fights for that to be recognized as his start of 10 year wait period.
cause nelson retired in '98 then comes back 10 years later to fight fenech for really no real reason i think it'd be silly to wait until 2018 because of that dumbness
also let's do it every four months! three times a year (for the hall of fame ballots) we just need to get more people interested in the BOTP! i guess too many ignorant posters on here?
Re: Boxrec Hall of Fame Voting Results! (May 2011)
Or reduce the waiting period from 10 years to 5 years. The real life Baseball HOF, Pro Football HOF, and Basketball HOF make players eligible five years after retirement.BarryWashington wrote:maybe the new rule can be :Ambling Alp wrote:We used to to do them every 3 months, but I just don't have the time I used to and there does not seem to be the interest as there used to be.
