KO'ing a Sexton off the back of two Rogan wins is surely a better achievement than beating McDermott?!

If Fury seriously improves his fitness level then i think he has a chance. He's still young he's got time on his side,he's improving but i think Delboy beats him. Maybe stops him.

Boxrec's computerised ratings say Chisora has achieved more, and they're decent. :TU:

So Derek Chisora's defeat of Sam Sexton is more highly regarded than Tyson Fury's victories over John McDermott. I am sorry I do not buy that all. I regard Fury's victory of McDemott as the bigger achievement than Chisora's over Sexton even if yhat was to unify the British and Commonwealth straps, because McDermott has been in with more top level domestic heavyweights than Sexton has been in his career so far, as McDermott has been in Danny Williams twice (both points losses) Matt Skelton (first blowout), lost to Mark Krence in an British title eliminator and defeated a former British Champion in Scott Gammer, and McDermott is regarded as one of the gatekeepers on the British scene.

As for Fury v Chisora, Fury has got the reach, handspeed and puts his combination together very well especially to the body as Fury was very effective in going to the body against McDermott in their second fight and has also scored knockouts with body punches, Chisora is quick and powerful but I can see him struggling try to get inside Fury's long reach so I am going to Fury with a stoppage in the late rounds for me.

I think Fury has this too and will stop Chisora in 7 rounds. Just as long as he doesn't hit himself with the uppercut to the face that is! :box: (We should invent a new emocion of one hitting himself in the face in tribute to Tyson Fury)

The only doubt in this with regards a Fury win, is the fact that Chisora has had 3 camps on the trot preparing for a 6'6 opponent !!

For the record, McDermott won the first fight with Fury and would have won the second but for illness.

If the fight actually happens, I can see Del Boy mincing Fury`s kipper within 4 rounds.

Both of these guys are still relatively inexperienced and there's ALOT we don't know about both of them. After what happened at the weekend with george and james (which to be honest, not many of us saw coming) it's taught me to exercise caution when making predictions in fights such as these. However I can't help myself ( :D ) and am slightly edging towards Fury largely because of manny steward and because i think he's fought a better class of opponent than delboy. I think if he can utilize his jab effectively (his best weapon imo) and settle into a rhythm with it he's got del boy beat.

Ive been lucky enough yet again with being able to train alongside well known fighters most famous being Ricky Hatton and sparring with brother Mathew Hatton with Billy Graham albeit a few years ago now then John Murruy and sparred with young and ever improving Joe Murruy and seen two vastly different training regimes through the changes of trainers at the same Denton gym
Ive recently trained with Tyson Fury at his immensly atmospheric gypsy style gym reminiscent of rocky style surroundings and really bare bones and sparred Tyson albeit some irrelevant brisk body work with me being a good 7st lighter :TU: but did a long hill run with Tyson Fury not that long ago and was showing enough proof that the guy is so so much fitter now than you are giving him credit for
Im currently a personal trainer and boxing coach and can see where people will have doubts and sceptism about Tysons level of opposition hes faced but on the point of his fitness ability ? dont be fooled by thinking this guys not fight fit, hes doing the right specific cardio training now and is so much more fitness orientated in his approach to the game and dont be surprised if he really upsets Chisora in a big way! :TU:

Don't know about 'would have won the second', but he had glandular fever and that had a big impact for sure. Chisora's win over Sexton is better than McFlurry's over McDermott.

With regards to the fight, I can't call it (I'm going to anyway). Real 50/50...

...I think the first couple of rounds will be Fury's, then they'll both match each other up until the 6th where Chisora will take a few due to Fury gassing. I'm not sure what happens come round 9 but whoever gets their second wind first will win the fight, either by late stoppage/points for Fury, or points for Chis.

I cant see this as a 50/50. Chisora isnt great but hes certainly better than Fury. Fury looks OK against bums but he isnt going that far IMO. He likes to hit but he doesnt like being hit back.

Thanks for your opinions gents.......

It seems that the general opinion is that its going to be a 50-50 fight that's hard to call or that Tyson fury will win. Not many of you have gone for chisora which is suprusing to me.

I'm still sticking to my belief that Tyson will get beaten by chisora.

Tyson for me is wide open to shots, technically not brilliant, he seems to throw arm shots instead of using his legs and body combined and lacks stamina.

Be an interesting fight, but one that chisora should win IMO
