A question for messrs. Maloney, Goodwin, and others

(thats not to say I dont care about other peoples answers but we have had that thread already and im sure people would want to hear the 'official' answers)

What would you say qualifies a show to be PPV?

What they think should be really the same as we think , but there wouldnt be this thread in the first place if that was the case

To be honest the only recent show that qualified UK wise was the Magnificent Seven which I thought was superb. For a wrthy PPV show ideally you want a good World Title fight with a decent undercard and I mean decent. Saturday was not a PPV show. Billy Jo v Kevin Hammond and Frankie Gavin v Young Muttley give me a break!

For me you need a three-four hour show packed with 50/50's and title contests for a genuine PPV.

I have spoken with many broadcasters including terrestial TV and PPV isiwhat they are interested in.

The Mitchell-Murray ( aka WWE wrestling) discussion was merely another ploy to generate the bout as a PPV in my opinion. If the public continue to pay £15 for these PPV's they will just get more of these PPV's that in my opinion are not worthy of this status.

If the public vote with their feet it will stop it so its down to the public.

No I think it's Hennessy, Khan Promotions, and Hayemaker who have also had ppv's over the last year.

That's Steve Goodwin above mate. Kenny Anderson is managed by Steve Wood. Different guy but equally as nice.

Who has Harry Matthews gone with now, Steve? I know you are friends and hear he had switched trainers after his dissapointing loss a couple of weeks ago.

No idea. Its a long story. I only promoted him for one fight and if I had stayed promoting him I am convinced his career would have taken a different (and much more successful path). Nethertheless I wish Harry all the best as he is a good lad.
