I know Curtis is a Boxrec fighter but come on... this is a shite match-up. Curtis hasn't beaten ANYONE of note and has lost to two fighters with losing records. I hate boxing sometimes. Peeps will get excited about this pre-fight, then moan like fornicate when Gavin dominates him.

It's surely gonna prove better than the Muttley fight though Dioufy?

I think you are being extremely naive, it's not just what he said, the way he said it was pretty arrogant imho.

I've experienced it enough times :-( also he still has to diet to make 147 or 140!! It's tough making weight and even tougher doing it while your under the weather :-( once again he deserves props and not criticism as he'd of been slated had he pulled out!!
i wouldnt of thought he would have to diet that much to make 147 tony

to be honest i thought it was abit tasteless bringing the money into it,if i was a good pro with a good future ahead of me like frankie, the money wouldnt be an issue at all and knowing the money he is on maybe it has gone to his head or maybe he got abit of degale syndrome cause degale said the same thing to groves in the final presser "i'm earning more than you for this fight" wtf has this got to do with it? its not like your both floyd mayweather "i fight for pay checks" get established first ffs.

To be fair, some people could do sit ups etc for years and diet and sauna and they would still not be ripped. Frankie was fit enough (sick) to go 12 rounds and it weren't his fault Muttley didn't give it a go.

I like how Curtis comes across on here; he was straight back on after losing and he takes comments in his stride. As a boxer though, he's as good as Frankie Gavin is a central midfielder. After this I hope that they get to play each other in a match so that they both might get some mutual respect.

Not wanting to be a shit stirrer; isn't Dave Coldwell a part of Hayemaker? If so he may have access to very good sparring and advice. Hayemaker would surely like another result over Mr W arren.

Fair enough but I'm sticking to my opinion on this one. I think it would take a lot to get Theophane to fight Frankie and I still think he just wanted to make it happen. He's just not the 'big time Charlie' type.

Gavin doesn't need to look good right now, all he needs to do is keep winning. The fickle boxing public won't ever remember this fight when he's a champion.

I think Gavin is a retarded arse btw, but as a boxer he's talented.

I strongly disagree; Frankie is a decent sort and much like any other man who packed in school at 16, he won't be a rocket scientist but who is? He knew he were to box for a living so didn't apply himself as much as he could but there is no way at all that he is retarded.

He does bite back sometimes but is not a nasty lad; he weren't full on last bout but will want to make a statement next time out no doubt; plus, he takes the time and effort to 'speak' to people on this forum he would not normally interact with.

He is a young man and he will make mistakes in his behaviour etc but his heart is in the right place and who is without sin etc etc.

I really agree :TU: I like Curtis and how he tries and I admire how he sacked a very well paid job to do what he wanted to do. He's done well to chase his dreams, more than most ever do or have the balls to do. He's shouted out for a bout with Frankie who is a gifted boxer.

I also admire Frankie; after all the adulation he could be so far up his arse that no one could reach him (see J. DeGale, A. Harrison etc etc).

After all the slagging off it would be nice if they did have a game of football; then Frankie could see that Curtis was a gifted footballer and Curtis could accept that Frankie was a gifted boxer. That would be good.
