I was there last night which started off with around 8 amateur fights to warm the crowd up. They were mainly kids and most the fights were pretty entertaining.
Kerry Foley fought Adam Wilcox in the first of the pro fights. It was a pretty ugly fight with Wilcox trying to grab and hold a fair bit. Foley eventually caught him a few times and put him away after a couple of rounds.
Local boy Damien Morgan was up next in his second pro fight against Damien Smith. The crowd was really up for this one and Morgan didn't let them down. i think in about round 3 he ended up catching Smith in the corner nailing him with a big bomb and putting him to sleep for a while. It's a shame that Morgan is 33 years old having his only his second pro fight because he looks like a really slick boxer and probably could of had a pretty decent career. Hope to see him fighting again soon.
In the semi main event Kariz Kariuki knocked out Dechapon Suwunnalird very early in a fight which resembled the Danny Green Paul Briggs fiasco. It was a pretty disappointing end but didn't really expect any different going off Suwunnalirds record of 4 wins 17 losses.
In the main event Wild Will Tomlinson took on Bandung Patavikorngym who had a decent record of 19-1 going into the fight (don't think he's beaten anyone decent though). The crowd got a bit nervous after Will was nailed with a big punch late in the first round which left him legless for a while. However no knockout occurred and he was able to recover between rounds. Further into the fight Will was able to work his way back in front and eventually knocked the Thai fighter down after a few rounds. Apparently he hurt his shoulder when he went down and stayed sitting on the stool and the end of the round. Overall Will looked ok without being sensational. He was getting better as the fight went on and it would have been good to see it go a bit longer. It was a potentially dangerous fight considering he is already booked on the Green v Tarver undercard in July which risked him looking past yesterdays opponent.
Overall it was great to have a fight night in a regional area with a couple of aussie big name fighters. Hats of to Paul Carroll promotions for putting on the night and hopefully we can see something like this happen a little more regularly.

Sounds like a great night, Will should reconsider his next fight IMO, record looks good in summary but doesn't really look like he will gain anything from it other than going through another preparation
