Jim Watt really annoys me. I hate listening to him. He picks his winner before the fight even starts and makes excuses for his pick all the way through.

A friend of mine fought and beat the same lad twice and Watt never mentioned one shot he (my mate) landed in either fight.

George Groves as explained and as you can see in the fight was mainly controlling the distance and pace (For the first 6 rounds anyhow) and he was fighting a back foot fight. All Watt had to say say was how DeGale was maneuvering Groves around the ring ec ct... He's blind.

He was the bigger puncher for starters.
There wasn't a single big round for Groves.
Degale never looked in any kind of trouble,Groves was moved by punches throughout the contest.
Groves spent most of the time backing up and taking significant and eyecatching punches.
There were more than a few close rounds though.

Degale won
have you watched it again on TV? I'm a Degale fan, was at the fight and thought he'd won, watched it again and understand the scoring now. Groves took the play away from Degale and apart from rocking him in the 9th James didn't really have George in any trouble either, and when he did he didn't capitalise, in fact Groves controlled the 10th.

Boxing isn't just about who lands a few bigger punches. Groves mostly controlled the tempo of the fight and confused Degale, he was JUST about the main man in a close fight, but watching it back, he nicked it.

I watch every fight I score with the sound off and I still thought Degale won. It was very close though and it's easy for me to understand why people had Groves winning. Anyone who doesn't think the fight could have fairly gone either way by a point or two is kidding themselves.

I could come up with a lot more when somebody puts it on you tube.
We can compare then.

i thought degale did enough.

had it 7 rds to 5 for degale.

very subjective fight though.

thought degale stayed with groves thru 8 rds and then had a better finish to clinch a close one.

f*cking judges. :D
