Olympics 2012

Post by MacTavish »

Has anyone had any money taken from their account - just had $166 taken - seeing as I applied for over $2,000 worth of tickets (and a lot of those for midweek day time) I'm not sure weather I'm a bit dissapointed or relieved!

There was an atricle in one of he Sunday's saying most people got 10% of what they applied for - I applied for all 20 events so am a little surprised I've only got that amount - my luck it will be ping pong and gymnastics that I've been allocated!

Looking at emails i got , one said most applications would be sorted by 31st May, and all would be done by June 10th.

Jamie Sanigar said on his facebook that he had been debited £2700 for tickets, god knows how many he put in for

Still had nothing taken from my account, the boxing hasn't been oversubscribed though so should have some of those.

Im sure it will be in glorious HD and with Dolby digital surround.

The UK broadcasters are going to push the boat out for this one.

Checked my account today and by the looks of it i've got no boxing tickets despite it being undersubscribed. Applied for boxing, athletics and football as it was local and all i've got is shitty football (probably end up being Iraq v New Zealand). If there are tickets in the next lot of sales then i won't bother again, seems like LOCOG have really ballsed this up

 now now, nobody likes a showoff. :P

has anyone an idea of the next lot of sales, i thought that people who didn't get what they wanted in the 1st sale got a next go at it in July, but looking at the Olympic website it says there will be a first come first serve sale in winter 2011.

Just seen that my card has been charged for £106 :( . I can't work out what i've got though as this isn't any combination prices of the tickets i applied for.

There is no date for the second chance ticket sales but it won't be before 24 June. The people who applied and didn't get any tickets get first crack at them followed by people who only got part of what they applied for which is probably just about everyone.

Not normally gutted to still have money in my account, but I am today. The whole process seems shambolic, but I still hope I get some of what I was after....

Don't panic yet, I think a lot of the money taken will be late in the day.

That's what I'm hoping.... its difficult because I'm so exposed to the draw that I can't really afford to hedge my bets on the German site, just in case. If everything came through from the ballot, I'd be financially restrained for quite a while, if they came through and I bought from the German site, it'd probably cost me the family

i'm not too sure about that now mate, the ticket site doesn't mention the 2nd ballot at all, just that there is going to be a general sale in winter 2011.
This is from the website

The german ticket prices are in euro and are around 30% dearer than face value.
