Re: Alex Arthur to top his OWN show
He's nearing the end of his career he's too inactive. Shame cos he was a shithot boxer at his best.
Re: Alex Arthur to top his OWN show
Given the right notice I think he's still very dangerous!
Re: Alex Arthur to top his OWN show
He was good but once he moved up in weight he seemed to dip a bit. Also far too innactive.
Re: Alex Arthur to top his OWN show
one of those FW fighters who get a title given to them. must have been tough for arthur's fans, the way he seemed to almost give away the title, vs cook.
Re: Alex Arthur to top his OWN show
The fight I remember the most with him was his scrap with Gomez. What a fight while it lasted
Re: Alex Arthur to top his OWN show
Didn't Boxingc....I mean Andy Ayling already get first dibs on the name AAA Promotions ;;-)
Re: Alex Arthur to top his OWN show
I just hope this works out for Arthur. I dont think I've ever known a fighter go from being no3 in the Ring ratings to bottom of the bill in one fight. I think he fell into the familiar allegedly trap of being ready for a world title shot for literally years before he actually got the opportunity. See John Murray and previously Kevin Mitchell for current examples. I think Arthur gets a bad press as I think he was very special and genuine world class in his prime. He tore apart the domestic division on the way up and was later a dominant European champ. Power in both hands, excellent technician although perhaps a bit on the slow side. Add his media friendly persona and really he should have achieved an awful lot more than he has. Can you imagine if he'd got his hands on Khan around the time Limond fought him?

Nice post. It's true his career should have gone a different way to the way it has. He stayed at super feather too long though.Trojans44 wrote:I just hope this works out for Arthur.
