...how does this go over twelve, with both at their best?

I don't think I've ever seen Witherspoon in real shape, not even against Holmes was he in truly great shape. My guess is Ike by decision, outworking a tiring Witherspoon down the stretch. Should make for a great fight though.

Titties or not, I'll take Witherspoon. His chin was one of the best I've seen and Ike is overrated in most areas. He never fought anyone as dangerous as Tim. Spoon by decision, possibly by early KO if Ike can't handle the heat. Yeah, Tua's punch is almost as overrated as Ike.

What a night, that drubbing and Czyz claiming Holyfield had to cheat to beat him sandwiched around a real fight with Lewis/Mercer. I'm embarrassed to admit that I had been working out of town all week and arrived about 20 minutes before the fights and held off my girl because I couldn't miss a Holy "fight".

A prime Witherspoon outboxes Ike and takes a decisive decision. A 1995 Witherspoon vs Ike is a razor thin decision that could go either way, I probably lean towards Ike on points but who knows . . .I don't rate Ike higher than the Mercer Witherspoon fought around that time and many had Terrible Tim winning that one.

The Spoon on points, by a wide margin; too well schooled. Doubt Ike would land anything clean. Would have been interesting to see if Ike could withstand the looping right hand of Tim's. I think he'd hit the deck but recover to go the distance.

Hang on, Spoon was 224 for Gonzalez - he was in shape! I think you've confused 'titties' with pecs.

The Spoon who fought Holmes, Tillis, Snipes, Page, Tubbs, Bruno, Cole, Gonzalez, and Mercer knows way too much for Ibeabuchi and wins a decision.

No. I watched the fight just days ago. That was Witherspoons weight, but his rack and belly softness were unmissable.

Witherspoon at 213, like he was against Mark Wills in their rematch, would be far too good for the scumbag.

I'd say: Witherspoon by UD.

This is true. And Witherspoon was a better fighter in the 80s. Ike can't win this fight.
Witherspoon either wins on points or late ko.

I havent been here in a while...a thread about "he who we do not speak of" would have been locked in the old days by now

Some things have changed huh ?

Have the fanatic Lewis fans come to realize their guy's title was saved by an arrest ?

Rest assured, you are well-remembered. You were one of the biggest gooses going around some time ago, & judging on the strength of your handiwork in this & the, "Oldest Champ Ever," thread, not much seems to have changed.

Ok...I guess the fanatic Lewis fans STILL don't realize that their guy was saved by an arrest...or was it a head injury from am illegal blow by Jerov and an over zealous boxing comission...or the OTHER arrest...or all 3 ?

Oh...and as to the original question....Ibeabuchi wins by KO/TKO in the middle rounds....if not the early rounds

Witherspoon beat B list HWs, and won razor thin decisions against the likes of Larry Alexander

witherspoon had too much science for ike :!: who is an ox & witherspoon may have to tie him up late on like the old skool did.

agree with witherspoons chin being underated & his right cross was lethal & had great accuracy. as a fighter he had great timing which probably let the laziness set in & not allways getting in tip top shape.
