Yes, he gave it a real go and weren't intimidated; I hope he comes again, he gives it a go and is tough and fit to fight. Fair play to him.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:Good little fight that,Turley done alot better than i was expecting..
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
I enjoyed that fight. Let's hope the next is the same
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
I think he could be a real handful for either of them and Rendall tooOld bones Ian wrote:Well going by that , i'd not put frampton in with Quigg or Booth for a couple of fights. Frampton just needs a bit more experience

Quigg and Frampton would be a good fightjonlcfc1 wrote:I think he could be a real handful for either of them and Rendall tooOld bones Ian wrote:Well going by that , i'd not put frampton in with Quigg or Booth for a couple of fights. Frampton just needs a bit more experience

Agreed.Old bones Ian wrote:Well going by that , i'd not put frampton in with Quigg or Booth for a couple of fights. Frampton just needs a bit more experience
Frampton is young and he's planning on boxing for another 10 years, by his own admission... There is absolutely no hurry for him. I would get him 6 or 7 fights over the next calendar year, keep fighting 8 and 10 rounder and then gradually move him up to 12 rounders.
Frampton has the ability and the potential, but he just needs the right fights at the right times.

Landed quite a few stiff jabs, threw some heavy rights early on. Takes that round handily.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Murray's pretty good but he's always been open to the right hand (holds a low left).
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Rees is having it all his own way at the moment. Murray needs to wait until Rees starts to slow and hope he can do something then... if it happens.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Murray's got nothing behind that right hand, it's a pure arm punch.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Where the hell did they dig up the 12 guys Murray has stopped, he's powderpuff, there's nothing there. Neat boxer but Rees is making him look slow. 4-0 Rees.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Murray is just not doing enuff. Rees up 4
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
It has been a masterclass for Rees so far. Murray has offered so little so far. It is like a poor mans Pacquaio V Margarito so far.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Gavin Rees is a pretty good box fighter; If he gets through this one like he started I'd not be thinking Crolla would hammer him.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
This is not competitive at all. Rees is looking great tonight.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Yes, Murray still looking strong.Livingstone Cole wrote:You think it'll go the distance?

You jammy git, sounds lovelyLivingstone Cole wrote:Missed round 6. Got myself a sandwich. Roast pork. Leftover roast from the Sunday roast on a Saturday. Bloomin' lovely.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Looks like Rees has been indulging in a few roast pork sarnies by the looks of his blowout here.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
Can't believe we are watching a former world light-welter champ fighting at lightweight and looking like he could make super feather! He should move down and target Ricky Burns.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
I've plenty of beer but would swap one for some crackling :(

Beer is all I have. Tesco's offers are great! 2 boxes of beer for £16.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
The Sky team are adopting the Emanuel Steward approach to commentating. Pick a winner beforehand and stick with him. Not saying Murray is winning obviously but a minute ago they were saying how great Gary Lockett was training Rees and now they are questioning his conditioning and diet.
Re: RbR for all of this evenings bouts
You can bet that next week I've crackling and roast taties AND beer, (aint no one going to beat me in the chow stakes next week)
