The rest of the bill was a mixed bag, not helped by women's world lightweight champion Erin McGowan having to fight an exhibition contest.
With her original opponent, Canadian Amy Johnson, pulling out injured and the WA commission refusing to sanction her non-title fight against late substitute Ploysuay Sakrungruang, McGowan put on an exhibition match against the Asian.
Sakrungruang, whose record on Boxrec is nine losses from nine fights, came to the ring wearing a head guard - unlike McGowan - only to toss it back to her corner inside a minute.
The Thai visitor then probably wished she'd kept the protection on as she withstood six rounds of one-sided punishment which, if nothing else, justified the decision not to recognise her as a worthy opponent for a world champion.
