Mundine Card results

Post by Hounddawg »

Jason Williams Wins KO 2 over Kris O'Neil, Kris O'neils debut after a few Corporate box fights.......needs to stay in Corporate box....very bad knockout.

Bilal Akkawy Wins KO 1 over Johnny Bennett......son hang em up, sickening KO...another Corporate boxer making his debut hmmmmmm.

Gunner jackson wins via UD over Niusila Seiuli, surprisingly entertaining.

Tua in the commentators chair, asked what he thought of Sonny Bills hype as a fighter...Tua "Yeah he's learning".

Mostyn Nieman vs Junior Lukopo(replacement fighter), with francis Prasch not turning up for the weigh in. Result fight stopped late round 3, after a massive gash caused by a headbutt from Lukopo.....Nieman big puncher....horrible defense.

David Aloua defeated tough Henry Tani in the best fight thus far via 4th round stoppage....Tani is a tougher fighter than the record suggests, really good fight.

Well well well, Daniel Baff Koed in the 5th by Warren Fuiava. Really great fight, baff should be proud, Faiava is going to go well in Australia, but he's got to maintain that level of fighters.

SBW picked and piroted his why to a UD victory against his out of shape opponent.

Mundine wins by corner stoppage in the 7th.

I don't think anyone on here thought it was tailor made, Baff's good but extremely inactive and has been known to go down.

Love the announcement NewZealands own Warren Fuiava. Warren Fuiava speaks "ajajajajjlhytbtt,????????????????????.....something in Samoan, then follows up with broken english! Really good fighter and tough, he took some really big shots.

Good and only good bout on the card thus far..... Baff too came to fight but ones the blows landed that was that.... Warren is one to watch....

Saw the "highlights" of the Williams fight on Fox Sport News.

I am surprised he did not take a harpoon into the ring. :shame:

Seems so. Must not have been any decent Rugby games on in that part of the Shaky Isles today.

Not in the initial interview following the fight, but when SBW was interviewed after Mundine, Mundine made his way out of the ring and towards the SBW interview, of course somehow making the SBW about himself and the reporter forgot the sometimes shy and akward in front of the camera Sonny to the side, and Mundine than begun to tell all the haters what Mundine and SB(as Mundine puts it) are doing for the boxing and community. Believe it or not, SBW did look rather embarrassed for Mundine.

Mundine does look great against a average fighter, it appears it's not all finished for the guy who just can't seem to make LT Middle, again he fought at Middle. Mundine could actually start making his way back down to national level fighters soon and never get beat. I hear Wood is pursuing national honors.

My pick of the fights

David Aloua vs Henry Tai - good match-up. Interesting that it was fought at heavyweight.
Warren Fuiava vs Daniel Baff - Great fight. Fuiva has great potential. Enjoyed his elusive head movements. Oh...and the KO. Daniel put in a great effort as well.

Everything went to "script" bar the Daniel Baff "debacle"....also there were a couple of fights where "corporate" fighters turned pro which could have had a tragic end....

Im not sure it is, 5'11 and Southpaw isnt right. He is an orthodox fighter and taller than 5'11.
