If Fury wanted to fight a 5-12 Latvian the board would probably say yes. Turning down Botha was a terrible decision; the guy is super experienced, and as he showed last night he can still beat young prospects (he was also ahead on the cards when Holyfield stopped him).

Dont the BBBofC not allow fighters that are over 40 fight in Britain unless they hold a World title. They shouldn't be ashamed they are just following their rules.

Surely there is a case that the BBBofC can be done for age discrimination. I watched the Francois Botha v Evander Holyfield fight and I felt that it was just one big punch that put Botha down that ended a fight with Botha was ahead, so he should been allowed to fight Tyson Fury in an 8 or 10 round fight which would have given Fury experience against a former world title challenger regardless of his age and the Simba result showed that BBBofC have got it completely wrong.

the ebu are just as bad, if your coming off a loss you cant fight for a title

Matt hatton cant fight for a title even though his last fight was a losing world title shot
