Price making Haye!
Re: Price making Haye!
Sparring like this is only going to help him. Good stuff.
Re: Price making Haye!
It will help both of them in the long run. Haye has done the right thing getting a guy of this size to spar with, he really can't leave anything to chance against Wlad.jBacca wrote:Sparring like this is only going to help him. Good stuff.
The only criticism I would have about Price helping Haye is that Price isn't known for his face-busting the jab the way that Klitchsko is.
Price tends to rely on his "sunday punch" (as he calls it) to deliver maximum damage.
Re: Price making Haye!
Following my last post, I would ask other posters: If you were fighiting Klitchsko, who would you bring in to spar with you?
It would have to be someone with an excellent jab and a long reach.

Re: Price making Haye!
Great for both of them Perfect Sparring for Haye, purely on size and brilliant for Price, world class sparring
Re: Price making Haye!
Apart from the Klitchko's, does this exist? Price has the size and reach but i dont think you can comapre his jab to the Klitchko. I think its one of the closest he will get thoughCrease wrote:Following my last post, I would ask other posters: If you were fighiting Klitchsko, who would you bring in to spar with you?

Re: Price making Haye!
Always thought that Price doesn't actually use his height all the often. His jab is not ramrod either.
Great sparring for him though. As for Wlad likeness? Well, maybe Haye could ring big bro if he is feeling cheeky!

Re: Price making Haye!
Prices movement could be very effective to copy a Klitshcko even if his jab isnt up to scratch. so its good sparring regardless.

Re: Price making Haye!
If he continues to get this level of sparring then David Price will continue to get better and better and perhaps could be a world champion.
Re: Price making Haye!
Pricey has sparred with him for years now, pricey Is the best he could possibly ask for, technically very good and a brilliant athlete too, his jab is a very good weapon too when he chooses to use it.. Other than Pricey, Rahman has a brilliant jab, always has!

How do you think Price will do against Mcdermott?Bomber 1 wrote:Pricey has sparred with him for years now, pricey Is the best he could possibly ask for, technically very good and a brilliant athlete too, his jab is a very good weapon too when he chooses to use it.. indeed, they have sparred since hay signed him for haye maker so basically prices whole pro carrier.Bomber 1 wrote:Pricey has sparred with him for years now, pricey Is the best he could possibly ask for, technically very good and a brilliant athlete too, his jab is a very good weapon too when he chooses to use it.. price is a bit more mobile than a klitschko so haye should be better prepaired for a klitschko

Actually I was thinking Rahman, but he doesn't have the size.Bomber 1 wrote:Other than Pricey, Rahman has a brilliant jab, always has!

Re: Price making Haye!
Why did Haymaker end up letting Price go? Did the collapse of Setanta mean they no longer had the money to keep a larger stable going? And why did they keep hold of Groves, while letting the rest go?Adamj1987 wrote:indeed, they have sparred since hay signed him for haye maker so basically prices whole pro carrier.
Re: Price making Haye!
Price was given the option of staying (when his contract was up) but Hayemaker understood he may want to go with a promoter with a TV deal and it all ended amicably. I can only guess that either they'd invested more money in Groves, had him on a much longer contract, or they offered him the same options and he chose to stay.Superheavy wrote:Why did Haymaker end up letting Price go?
