Kell Brook - fantastic pundit

Post by allahsnackbar »

Anybody else think Kell was good tonight?

He was a straight shooter and didn't mince his words and was very honest about Witter as well. Seems like a very objective pundit. I'd like to see more of him

Pathetic comment the first time you made it, so I'm guessing he chose to ignore it.

For his first time doing it I thought he was decent to be fair.

I'd like to see him do it again.

I thought he did really well. He's a young kid and he didn't exactly get an first from Oxford so he was obviously gonna be nervous. But he was honest in his opinions and his laid-back personality makes him quite a charasmatic presence, if you ask me.

By the way, congratulations on the bravery of those calling him gay and retarded from the safety of an internet pseudonym. Very impressive stuff that reflects well on you as human beings ...

Yeah he gained massive respect from me when he said he wasn't impressed with Witters performance. He was being totally objective about the situation but doing it with respect. Colin Hart can be objective also but he always has that air of arrogance about him as if he wants you to know that he knows more about the sport than you ever will. Brook seemed honest and genuine in giving his take on the nights fights.

Has the silver fox Colin Hart ever stepped into a ring?

I do like the guy, I always thinks he gives a good account of himself when he's punditing or giving his opinion ringside.

brook has the good looks of an indian west indian heritage aka coolie blood did very well. nice idea pairing him with johhny nelson for their mate junier witters night of supposed redemption.

nelson did well today. his fundamental decency was betrayed by his eyes after witter lost to el maachi he sensed it was the end of the road for his mate who was in fantastic condition but just seems to have lost his power, chin and stamina. his legs just turn to jelly. el maachi threw him 15 feet out of the ring and in that fight he lost up in canada e fell to the floor about 15 times and almost got disqualified.

junier needs to see a specialist i sincerely beleive he has some kind of ear imbalance causing him to lose balance and dulling his reflexes. i dont know the medical term but i know a world class mma fighter had this problem and it stalled his career.

El Maachi should not have been in the final! Last time we see him on sky after that stinker!

I've no idea (and don't care) which way Kell Brook swings but fail to see what it's got to do with his abi,i'th as a pundit.

Maybe you're just feeling a bit threatened :OhYes:

Kell, as far as i know, has a got a gorgeous girlfriend! Anyway, back on topic, i thought he was brilliant. Most of the Sky team would not have been so objective about Witter if they had just done a training camp with him. He has a very funny personality as well i think and always looks pleased to be there. He does seem everywhere at the moment, Sky/Matchroom are really looking to give him the big push.

When he said "morerer" it made me laugh. I think they should keep him and bring him out on crap cards for comedy value.

I thought he was alright, looked a bit edgy mind but that'll come with more experience.

I think it's a good idea to get current pros in there most weeks rather than the pundits we've been having. Keeps the coverage fresh in my opinion.

i thought he was very good...he's got that bit of charisma which his stable mates jonny nelson and junior witter seem to lack...

Nelson has been poor lately, I used to like him though.

Witter is one of those annoying characters, the sort that look down their nose at others and just need a good kicking

I don't have a problem with Sky changing the pundits all the time, I think it's good to have a potential future opponent of one of the main event fighters in the studio or at Ringside on the mic - as Ward was at the weekend.

The changes that most people want Sky to make are merely cosmetic and wouldn't take much implementing at all, might even save money.

As long as they can talk, I'd much rather have an honest, down to earth person there rather than someone 'slick' (i.e. who can talk but doesn't say anything and especially avoids criticism of anyone).

Kell is actually funny as...whether it's intentional or not, I dunno.

i think a lot of this depends on what your used to , i used to live , until 8 weeks or so ago , in Worksop , which is on the notts/derbys/south yorks border , so everyone talks like kell brook there , maybe not such a high pitched voice , but in all honesty my voice isnt the deepest either , i think its just a case of if your used to listening to well articulated , well spoken people then youll find a normal council estate bred led a bit annoying , just as i would find some well spoken ponce to be annoying lol , in my opinion one of each would be the best way .

Kell's voice did make me chuckle at times.

But he was sincere and gave a fighter's view in an honest way without any malice.

I don't have a problem with a regular rosta of pundits throwing their tuppence in.
