Whether he's right or wrong, Common Sense should Prevail & he should know not to post such a thing!

Dilks came back on after the DeGale fight and made some posts which I really respected him for. Smith vanished after his fight with De Gale. Of course he owes us nothing, and it was great to hear his views while he was on here. I just can't help thinking of the football chant, 'you only sing when your winning'. Paul is a clever man, and he must know what it looks like but he's obviously got bigger fish to fry. Good luck to him.

As for Bellew, he is probably the most passionate boxer I have seen post about the sport. I think he acts the same way on here that he would if he was just another fan. IMO he would be a far bigger loss to the forum.
I love Bellew's post on here. But he takes criticisms on here are lot more reasonably than he does at press conferences :bag:

I must say that while my head went off the rails for a min it was purely cos he stated he'd take me outside right now! I can deal with being called bum and the usual stuff but when he told me he'd take me outside that was it! But Eh I'll learn from it and it'll only make me more aware ;-)

I've missed the forums of late, I'll start getting back on it guys ;-)

Just to say too, I post cos I enjoy it and also cos I'm first and foremost a boxing fan! ;-)

Tony Bellew is definitely the worst poster, not sure why anyone likes him.

met el maachi last night and had me pic taken with him in the ring.....he couldn't have been nicer, he even made sure the missus's old man got a pic in the ring too, was literally 5 mins after the fight...really nice guy.

No idea what Smith is on about?

Witter is a tw@t and El Maachi could have easily been perceived as one. He's not ragging their boxing skills (which would have been disrespectful).

Personally though, I like El Maachi and can see through the bravado. Definitely gained a fan in me last night.

Witter is a plonker.

I could divulge a lot more about el maachi that would make you like him even more but I'll leave that to the writers :TU:

I watched PF last night hoping El Maachi got sparked. After the interview for his first win I changed my tone completely as I realised he was a nice guy.

Seems to love the sport despite his setbacks.

It a bit childish if you ask me.

It's like me, I hate my boss and thank he is a complete knacker, but I'd never say it on a public forum. Ohh wait, I just did. It's to late now, I've almost pressed SUBMIT.

Well done to paul smith firstly for making welterweight and secondly for getting to the final of prizefighter.

reggaereggae wrote:There's a lot of hypocrisy on these boasts - and Paul is a boxer and warrior, has more right to criticise other fighters.

Unlike all the keyboard nerd warriors here criticising him. So many boxrec posters are gross hypocrites, who criticise fighters until they appear on Boxrec, then brownose them, then criticise them when they have a disagreement (see Smith, Bellew etc)

No wonder so many boxers hate the Boxrec forum
but he should be respectful to any fellow professional, they both earn the same coin.

We are all fans first and foremost :TU:

Paul Smith was happy chatting to posters, some he agreed with, others he didn't. Then stopped posting after he lost to Degale.

That's his choice.

His mocking other fighters, in public, wasn't the greatest thing he has ever done, but he does always shoot from the hip.

Paul just comes across angry....very angry. He will chill out once he gets his career back on track. People shouldn't judge him too harshly based on a few incidents.

He's probably is a sound lad, in person. Most people are different, when you meet them in person.

Some good points, I bet he's a sound lad to meet in person, came across as the sort who'd be good to go for a pint with. I agree you can never overly judge someone off a forum, I think he just bit on some people's criticisms and got a bit carried away. Criticising other active boxers don't do him any favours tho tbh.

How long has he been hanging out with Stevie G? He's turned into a cock in the last few months and I wonder whether the 'lifestyle' makes him look down on folk. I dunno though.

bellew was great how he calmed down & then turnt the tables on clev calling him a prick by saying, nice that really classy, you should be ashamed of yourself :!:

pals of mine also found it hilarious how bellew turnt one question into a presidents speech & being clapped  everyone loves a character :!: bellews is a loveable character outside the ring, but a crazed animal inside it.
