This was a bout on one or my white collar shows , and i got some stick for scoring it 30-29 to the home fighter , from the away people of course , i wasnt meant to be judging this before anyone cries outrage , the judge that was meant to do it let me down and this particular ref prefers to just ref and not score it , but even the ref said i got it wrong , for info it was the guy in the blue (mcintosh) that i gave the win to , i just watched it again and this time still gave it the same way but at 29-28 , just wondered how many on here say i got it wrong as it annoyed me as i see myself as calling it down the middle

Credit where its due though , the opponent was switched from a different fight on the day of the show following a pullout and was a weight division below .

The camera angle wasn't the best as the near ring post and the referee were in the way a bit but I just thought 'Black Shorts' landed better jabs and was landing some decent, clear body shots throughout. 'Black shorts' had a nice tight defense and most of 'Blue shorts' punches landed on the gloves and arms. I couldn't find a way to score it to Blue shorts. Sorry Damian.
edit: fair dues for stepping up to judge it though, I bet it can get a bit hostile. :P

Just watch the fight without the sound,I gave all 3 rounds to the guy in the Black Trunks,I roared Robbery when Mcintosh hand was raised

In saying that,i would say that your angle of the fight was better then mine alto the video angle was pretty good. Plus I'm Rubbish at scoring.
Blue corner won the fight for me without losing a round.
I thought Mcintosh boxed like the Home fighter.

First round - soulless ginner.
As the above poster said, McIntosh boxed like the home fighter but didn't land anything from what I could see. The ginner seemed to be landing the effective shots, albeit only a few.
Second round - ginner.
McIntosh throws some early flurries but all hit gloves. Ginner catches McIntosh a few times as the home fighter tries to dance out of reach. Ginner with nice work on the ropes. McIntosh doesn't land anything. Easy round for ginner.
Third round - ginner

seems no ones gonna clear my concience for me lol , its the only one anyone has EVER said i got wrong when judging, i suppose i can be forgiven but the away lad may feel he aint gonna be recommending anyone to come fight one of my lads now in case they get robbed , but i honestly called it how i thought i saw it and first i knew anyone was unhappy was when i went to the away changing room before the main event (which was tthe next fight after the vid)
was a decent show jbacca i reckon , a couple of the fights finished in the first via ko's which in some ways isnt what i want to see , but not always something i can prevent .
and billy dunno about that mate ,last time we had 2 fighters come up from cornwall one got stopped after 9 seconds when he was previously unbeaten and the other got hammered by a fellow first timer before being stopped towards the end of round 2 lol
Fancy bringing any lads up to box on my next one ? ill even get you matched if you fancy it matey .
and cheers for birthday wishes , shame the mrs didnt see it that way , asleep by half 9 , not good , not what i expected on my birthday

if anyones interested this is as far as im aware the only other video from the show thats found its way onto youtube so far , my fighter , Yan Hollingsworth was making his debut against a guy who had previously lost 2 out of 2 , and although my fighter won , he nearly blew it when he got caught by a cracking right hook that knocked him down , at the time he looked like his legs were proper gone , dont think the video does justice on how big a knockdown it was but he did well to get back up and win the bout , ok hes not the next sugar ray leonard but hes never boxed at all not even amateur so thought he showed good character

I scored for blank trunks 30-28 did the better work from our angle imo, though i'm not great at scoring.
I have to say that it looked an absolutly craking atmosphere, way better than a lot of the professional small hall shows i've been to.
What's the difference to a normal pro show? Are the boxers ex pro's or novices that think they can fight a bit? How many unlicenced boxers are out there, is it a small pool of talent or loads? Are there doctors/paramedics on hand if anything unfortunate happen?
What sort of prices are tickets?

Yeah there always a good atmosphere , as far as the level of fighters , to answer your question , the fight you just saw was an ex pro who was 5-0 against a lad who is about to make his pro debut , so they are a good standard but it does vary from ex pro to complete novice , but what i think i do well is match them right , theyll only fight people who they should be , unlike the pros we wouldnt put an unbeaten 5-0 fighter against someone with a negative record , personally id match them against someone whos lost a maximum of 2 fights out of 5 or 6 , maybe an unbeaten fighter if its the right opponent , thats the main difference , as in these type of shows both fighters will enter the ring believing they can win and will give it their best shot , this is the reason the scene is thriving in my opinion .
theres a descent pool of fighters nowadays , people travel all over the country , earning good money doing so .
yes theres paramedics in attendance , never needed them , but their on hand , just in case
tickets can be anything from £15 right up to around £80 or theres tables etc too , personally i just do a flat £20 per ticket and save any ringside tables for sponsers rather than general spectators
but imo for £20 its a good night out.
BILLY - ill message you as soon as ive got the date , im just waiting to see the football fixtures first as i dont want to clash with a forest v derby game or something as that would be pretty costly to me lol .
