Place still fighting Grant?

Thats a very tough fight in itself and certainly not a full gone conclusion.

Really like the look of Place, and fair play for bringing him on so quick - Wright and Grant are near enough British level class.

Classic match up!

I think wright is too well schooled and won't get drawn into a war

I think the step up in class is a bit sudden for Place.

Big difference between fighting average journeymen as he's been facing, despite blowing them away, and Nigel Wright.

If he wins, and wins well, it's a pretty big statement at this stage.

Grant is class, if he is fit and been in the gym then Place has to beat Grant before thinking of Wright...

Know what your sayin 'tear up', hope Nigel aint guna be 1 of those fighters who box and beat a stream of quality opponents only to end up losing to some1 he would have beat easily a couple of years previous- this would be my concern vs place, although i think styles should gel perfect in this 1.

Nigel Wright is a very good boxer and would win a fight with Carl by a wide margin on points imo

I have said for a long time on here only the top boys beat Wright, and then ususally narrowly. Im not sure why everyone wants to throw there prospects in with him. Its not even like he has shown any signs of slipping.

This is a great bit o matchmaking. I think Wright would win a points victory. Bulbheid looks a good prospect but Wrights a classy operator he'd have too much at this stage.

This fight may not happen now that Nigel has a final eliminator shot , but either way it was a good fight for both lads. Nigel is experienced and would fancy his chances , as well as a payday it would be another defence of his English and a move forward.

Karl is more than a prospect now and has to start having harder tests , his match on Saturday against Micheal Grant who is another ABA champion and will be just as hard to beat. He has to have these fights to learn and they will continue to get harder and he will be a Champion one day , whether in 6 months or 2 years..
