Yeah amazing ain't it, he couldn't stop N'dou, yet he thinks he would have stopped Tszyu.
I think this press release won't have done him any favours. Time to forget dissing Hatton and just keep fighting.
He needs to get himself his own title shot, and stop thinking he is going to goad Hatton into giving him a shot, it just ain't gonna happen.

Junior Witter and Joe calzaghe seem to do more moaning than fighting.
Witter is obviously bitter now that Hatton has made it in the big time. Anyway, I feel Hatton would beat Witter if they fought, and I would be hoping Hatton gave him a lesson.
Witter is always saying how he would beat anyone in 140lbs division if he fought them. Just imagine, Witter-Mayweather? Mayweather would destry him, break him down, give him a systematic beating.

Hatton should have fought Junior along time ago.
We don't know who the best Lightwelter in Britain is because of Hattons refusal to fight him.
I'm a fan of Hattons (I was there on June 5th), but if he really wanted to treat his fans and pay them back for their loyal support he should fight Witter IMO. This fight is as BIG Eubank Vs Benn IMO.
However I now think Junior will have to win a title before Hatton even will even consider it :(

In terms of the title shot, neither the WBA or IBF rate him.
WBC's (oldish) rankings have him at #2, if you move PBF to champ and remove zoo (assuming he will either retire now or will be innactive for a long time). That still leaves Branco above him, and trying to get a fight with Branco is like getting a chapter from Proust out of Chris Moyles.
So he's very much stuck unless WBC put him ahead of Branco (don't be stupid, too sensible,) Flloyd gives him a voluntary (obviously not, bigger fish and all that.) In which case the only option is if Flloyd vacates to move up and Wiiter gets involved in the vacancy. If he got all that (and one,) he then has a good title. If he still wants Hatton after that, then it becomes easier with the title and the most lucrative and best opponent half-a-stone lighter.
Really, everything hinges on what Mayweather does next, for both Hatton and Witter

welcome back, course he is scared of wtter thats why he took a man on with a ten times more fearsome rep.search wrote:Witter is signed up with DE LA HOYA, and Goldenboy Productions. He will not be fighting for small purses for long.KO Atrist wrote:JUNIOR WITTER HAS GOT NO CLASS WHATSOEVER.
HE COULD HAVE SHOWN CLASS BY CONGRATULATING HATTON, BUT HE HAD TO WHINGE LIKE A LITTLE GIRL.
HIS LITTLE RANT HAS ENSURED THAT HE WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT FOR RELATIVELEY SMALL PURSES, WHILST HATTON GETS THE BIG FIGHTS.
NO ONE IS LISTENING JUNIOR.
Why should Witter show respect to a man who has cowardly ducked him for years? Witter would have blasted the Tszyu Hatton fought. Instead Hatton had to elbow, head-butt and low blow his way to a victory.
Hatton fans know that the shitman is scared of Junior "The Hitter" Witter.
give me strength

Yeah whatever mate.
I've nothing against Witter, but to say he would have blasted Tszyu is both cobblers and disrespectful to a former world champ and a great one at that.
Kostya was doing plenty of fouling of his own in that fight, including throwing Hatton deliberately to the canvas, he got some in return, It wasn't even a particularly dirty fight. Hatton used his strengths to overcome Tszyu, but let's not forget Tszyu was more than competitive up to the 9th.
Witter hasn't done anything to suggest he could have beaten Tszyu, with his style, I wouldn't have been surprised if he had gotten knocked down or out, Witter doesn't tuck his chin in when the throws shots, he has his head right up in the air, and I can well have seen Tszyu landing one of those right hand bombs he landed on Hatton having knocked witter down and out. Witter is quick and punches hard, but he almost came completely unstuck against N'dou, and had that been Tszyu in there, he would have been knocked out fading like that.

De La Hoya has only taken on Witter because he gets a top 15 man at 140 for relatively cheap money.search wrote:Witter is signed up with DE LA HOYA, and Goldenboy Productions. He will not be fighting for small purses for long.KO Atrist wrote:JUNIOR WITTER HAS GOT NO CLASS WHATSOEVER.

Witter cant draw flies, he will be one of De La Hoya's lowest paid top 15 fighters.
I'd like to see him fight Hatton, beacuse it would be interesting for a while.
If Witter can pick up a genuine title, I think he would deserve a shot at the champ.
And I think the champ, Hatton, would give him a shot

You're insane......search wrote:In my opinion its not cobblers. Witter would have put that Tszyu into a stretcher after 5 rounds maximum. Witter has taken big shots from Zab Judah and Ndou and he hasn't been KO'd.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Yeah whatever mate.

Watch the Hatton Tszyu fight without British spectacles. GO to an american chatboard and ask them about it, a respected board like fightbeat.com. Hatton fouled his way to the victory end of.
He has been scared of the fearsome Witter for years. How can you pussy out of a contest with a man who publically humiliated you?
haha, hatton showed his true colours fighting the smiths and rios instead of Witter.
Witter took very few shots from N'dou, who for your information isn't a big puncher, who the fornicate has he stopped at 140, even at 135 he wasn't a big puncher, so again you're talking shit.
Witter also didn't take many shots from Judah, as he fought in retreat all night rather than get engaged.
Sure, Hatton is so scared he went and fought a top 5 P4P fighter. Now that Hatton won, everyone is saying he's shot, but prior to that everyone was saying he would annihilate Hatton, amazing how everyone wants to have it both ways.
I've never even heard of fightbeat, so I will have to take your word for it being respected. However, I speak to American boxing Journalists regularly, including Michael Katz, Thomas Gerbasi, Jason Probst, Doug Fischer at maxboxing and a number of others around the world, and not one of them thought Hatton fouled his way to victory, not did they think that Hatton only won because Tszyu was shot, and I respect their opinion a lot more than yours because they actually know what they are talking about.
N'dou is a tough durable fighter, but he is not a world class fighter, he loses every time he faces off against a world class opponent, the only fight against a top fighter he threatended to win was against Sharmba Mitchell.
